Background : The incidence of stroke from year tor year is increasing, especially in
women whose incidence increases in older age. That is important because women
different with man in some ways, such as genetic differences in immunity,
coagulations, hormone factors, reproduction factors (pregnancy and childbirth) and
social factors which influence risk factors and outcome stroke.
Result and Conclusion : Analysis result show that most of the women stroke
patients with ischemia stroke (58,8%) especially due to thrombosis (90%), while
stroke hemorrhage (41,2%) especially intracerebral hemorrhage (87,8%). The
description of most women stroke patients is old seniors (30,7%), Bugis ethnic group
(53,8%), do not have family history of stroke (13,4%), hypertension stage 2 (51,3%;
50%), uncertain diabetes mellitus (66,8%), low total cholesterol (17,2%), optimal
LDL (8,4%), low HDL (18,9%), nutrition state based on body mass index is normal
(16%) while based on upper arm circumstance is underweight (28,6%), menopausal
(76,5%), have pregnancy history (96,2%) and do not have smoking history (49,2%).
