Professional Summary

I will be graduating with my MSW in April and will be relocating to San Diego at that time. I
have experience and training in medical social work, adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric
care, and adolescent mental health. Currently training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy. My experience also includes working in adult intensive care and facilitating adolescent
groups.

Medical Social Work Intern- 21hours/week August 2016 - Current


Holland Hospital, Holland MI
- Provide substance abuse/psychiatric assessments and education, arrange inpatient or
outpatient treatment as needed.
- Assess for suspected child abuse and neglect.
- Assist with mental capacity evaluations.
- Provide emotional support/counseling for patients and families with new diagnoses,
chronic health issues, family problems, depression/anxiety and poor coping strategies.

Mental Health Worker- 36 hours/week February 2016 - Current


Forest View Psychiatric Hospital, Grand Rapids MI
- Assist in the ongoing assessment of the safety and emotional needs of each patient.
- Complete rounds every 15 minutes or sooner to ensure patient safety.

and provide intervention and care accordingly.
