MEMBERS TO THE ST. OLAF WOMENS SOCCER PROGRAM. PLEASE GIVE A WARM WELCOME TO
THESE FOUR INDIVIDUALS WHO APPLIED THROUGH THE EARLY DECISION PROCESS AND STAY
TUNED IN FUTURE ISSUES OF FOR OLE TIMES AS WE ANNOUNCE THE REST OF THE CLASS!

Name: Leigh Rosenthal


Nickname: Twig

Primary Soccer Position: Outside Defender

Describe your hometown: Burnsville (spent most time in Apple
Valley, which is known for being a HUGE food hub)
Favorite soccer player: Ali Krieger
Favorite food: Anything with the word potato in it
Favorite celebrity: Ryan Gosling
If you could travel to one time period, what would it be and
why? Early 2000s, because Hannah Montana, High School Musical,
Lizzy McGuire, etc.
If you were a sandwich, what type of sandwich would you be? High School: Apple Valley
Ice Cream Sandwich
Town: Burnsville, MN
Why St. Olaf? I love the close community feel, how challenging
academics are, and how incredibly nice everyone is! Club: Lakeville Galaxy

Nickname: Riss or Roo
Primary Soccer Position: Goalie

Describe your hometown: My hometown has about 400
people in it. It has one gas station, a caf, a gun range, and a
huge Mountain Range.
Favorite soccer player: Kasper Schmeichel

Favorite food: Caribou
Favorite celebrity: Will Ferrell

If you could travel to one time period, what would it be and


why? WWII the stories of brave men and women are inspiring
If you were a sandwich, what type of sandwich would you High School: Chugiak
be? Pita Pocket
Town: Chugiak, AK
Why St. Olaf? I chose St. Olaf because I knew instantly that this
was a place where I could be successful. The campus is beautiful Club: WYSA Valley Revolution
and I loved how enthusiastic every person was about his or her
major.

Nickname: Al
Primary Soccer Position: Center Midfield
Describe your hometown: My hometown is very small and
because of this, everyone knows each other. During the summer
everyone is out skiing on the lakes and having bonfires.
Favorite soccer player: Alex Morgan
Favorite food: Macaroni and Cheese
Favorite celebrity: Dave Franco
If you could travel to one time period, what would it be and
why? I would travel to the 1910s-1920s to be part of the
Womens Rights Movement.
If you were a sandwich, what type of sandwich would you
be? Mini Cajun sub because I am little but pack a punch.
Why St. Olaf? I chose St. Olaf because of its great science
program, its community values, and the opportunity to make
awesome friends on the soccer team.

Name: Brynne Davis


Primary Soccer Position: Goalie
Describe your hometown: Golden, Colorado is a western suburb of
Denver and is historically known as the Gateway to the West. It is
situated in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and sits over a mile
above sea level. There is easy access to the mountains so it invites
many opportunities such as skiing, biking, running, and hiking.
Golden is known for its active lifestyle, friendly atmosphere, and the
Coors Brewing Company as well as Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Favorite soccer player: Tim Howard
Favorite food: Crab Cheese Wontons
Favorite celebrity: Taron Egerton
If you could travel to one time period, what would it be and
why? Late 18th century, early 19th the heyday of the French
Canadian voyageurs. The Voyageurs participated in the fur trade by
using canoes for transportation through the Canadian west, and
portaging canoes and gear between watercourses, as necessary. They
were adventurous and hardy. For the past eight summers I have gone
on extended canoe trips in Canada, sometimes utilizing routes blazed
by the Voyageurs
If you were a sandwich, what type of sandwich would you be?
Primanti Bros Signature Sandwich High School: Lakewood
Why St. Olaf? I chose St. Olaf for many reasons. Primarily, I loved the Town: Golden, CO
campus and the sense of community while I was there, especially
with the soccer team. Additionally, I feel that St. Olaf is academically Club: Real Colorado Edge
rigorous and will offer me the best education that fits my needs.
