Smokeless tobacco is far from safe and is linked
to three types of canceroral, esophageal and
pancreatic. Chronic use can also result in addiction
and use of multiple tobacco products. This public
awareness campaign is designed to reduce the use of
smokeless tobacco among our young people.
A student-oriented movie night featuring The
Blind Side will be held at the Glasgow Evangelical
Church on Monday, February 27th at 6:00pm. This
event is an opportunity for youth ages 13-19 to gather
and enjoy a fun evening with friends, free pizza and

Prevention Specialists from the Valley C.A.R.E.

and underage drinking, effects on heart health, and

Big Tobacco to lure young people to their products.
Smokeless tobacco is not a safe alternative to
cigarettes, and can be highly habit forming because
it contains a greater concentration of nicotine than
cigarettes, says Brittany Archambeault, Tobacco
