The top and most moral character by far in this story is Nick Carraway. Nick
doesnt seem to have one bad trait about him. His main overall trait is trustworthiness.
characters, including Gatsby and Daisy, when he maintains secrecy about their
relationship. Nick also shows to be very caring in the way that he always cares about
The second most moral character is Jay Gatsby. Jay has good traits for the most
part, but there are some bad qualities about him. The most prominent trait in his
possession is citizenship. Jay almost continuously throws generous parties for what
seems like most of the public. He is very giving. The down side to him is his respect. Jay
cant be looked at as respectful with all of the shady business that he is involved in.
Daisy Buchanan is third and a midrange character on the character morals scale.
She does not demonstrate fairness because she admits that she loves both Tom and
Jay! However, this dilemma brings out the trait of respect in her. She is respectful
because she does not wasn't to hurt neither Tom nor Jay while stuck between who to
choose.
The bottom three characters, Myrtle Wilson, Tom Buchanan, and Jordan Baker
seem to have no good traits to them at all. Fourth and fifth are the married couple,
Myrtle and Tom. They both cant be proven trustworthy because they each had an affair
with another person. Lastly at number six, Jordan seems to be of no good to the story at
all. She is not caring in that she hates carless people, yet is carless herself!
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald seems to show the true character of
people. The characters in this popular read are a whirlwind of morals, some good and
others oh so ugly.
