Organization location: Kapovar, Hungary

Position: EVS Volunteer

With great interest I have read the opportunity of EVS at project based on Kaposvar, Hungary ,
that has been listed on the website of the organization. I am confident that I have the necessary
educational skills and personal qualities as a prime candidate to be eligible for the volunteer
service in the mentioned position above.

I was born in 1991 to a family with 12 children in Diyarbakr, a province in the southeast of
Turkey. My educational career has started in Diyarbakr and I got a social science-literature
oriented high school degree in 2009. 2011 I started to study at the department of Turkish
Language and Literature at the Hacettepe University, Ankara. During my studies in the
university, I had the opportunity to play roles in student groups for various projects and
initiatives. I also attended certificated courses and trainings in different areas ranging from
Leadership Tranining to Influential Interpesonal Communication.

Currently I am pursuing my studies to get a Bachelor degree in Turkish Language and Literature.
During my studies in Hacettepe University of Ankara as a bachelor student, I also have been
working part-time as an interior designer of houses and as a wall painter. I got those skills by
assisting my elder brother who works professionally in this sector. In addition to that I have
been working as a freelance teacher of Turkish Literature and language and musical instrument
(Guitar). My interest in guitar initially began in Diyarbakr during my high school years. During
that period with a musician and artist group of friends I searched on local music and folk songs
and dances. As such my acquaintance with Guitar began in those years. As a group our we
focused on how harmonize western music with local Kurdish music. After coming Ankara as a
bachelor student, I met with people coming from different cities of Turkey and different
countries of the world. Within this multicultural environment, while focusing on my studies, I also
have been practicing guitar and trying to improve myself, also offering guitar courses. Both my
working experiences in music and Turkish language, particularly with children ranging 6 to 18
years old.

Thanks to this working experience, I got the chance to apprehend child psychology and
behaviors and learned how to communicate with them, how to teach something in an attractive
and enjoyable way that they could not feel bored. To improve myself as a teacher, I read and
was influenced by the great pedagog and philosopher Paulo Freire , whose ideas on pedagogy
became road lights for me not only in a classroom environment, but also in public, family and
any area of life.

I am native Kurdish and Turkish speaker and very acquainted with both Kurdish and Turkish
traditional local dances and cultures including tales, stories. I am very excited that the volunteer
serves would be a good opportunity to share those my skills with children and learn Hungarian
culture and language from them and from the people around. I read carefully the duties and
responsibilities required from the candidate during the serving period. I have detailed knowledge
concerning the responsibilities required from the candidate of EVS in the project. I believe that
my experiences and educational background make me an excellent candidate for the vacancy. I
possess a good interpersonal, communication, research and analytical skills and I have the
ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial internal and external relationships. I would
very much to discuss my curriculum vitae in personal with you.
