REFLECTIVE STATEMENT

HIV is human immunodeficiency virus a virus which infecting humans and

Aids is Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, a syndrome caused by infection with
the human immunodeficiency virus. Where ever we are, HIV/Aids are always there.
It is spread faster than we expect and to reduce and prevent increasing those
people who`s already infecting this Virus, people needs education about this
disease and awareness from the disadvantages of having Aids in order form them to
take care themselves.

It was not my first time to attend a seminar like this, because when I was first
year one of our teachers encouraged us to participate in a seminar which related to
our course. While listening to the discussion of the speaker, I remembered all the
learnings that I`ve learned to our Clinical Instructors. The discussion of the speaker
freshen my mind which is good to not forgetting those learnings in order for me to
have knowledge in educating my patient with HIV/AIDS. Honestly speaking even this
was not my first time to attend a seminar like this and even I`ve already a
background of this disease, I cannot deny the fact that it sharpen my mind about
HIV/Aids. Through this seminar I appreciated so much this disease than I guess,
because even they`ve already discuss it to us there are learnings that I`ve learned
here that I`ve never learned from the past seminars. Aside from those learnings,
I`ve learned also that every topic discussed by the teacher, Clinical Instructor and
even a speaker, student/ participants should listen and give value to the topic and
always put the learnings in their heart and mind to not bury it with a useless
reasons because no one knows when we can use those learnings from the topic
discuss by them. This seminar is enjoyable and cost-effective than I know; even the
energy of the speaker was not like the energy of the speaker before I can proudly
say that she is intelligent. She is good in summarizing and has a good technique in
addressing her lesson in her audience in order for the listener to understand it
easily. Before she started her lecture with us, I felt sleepy at that time because we
had our overnight (night before the seminar) to finish our case on time. So I
attended the seminar with a low energy and not interested on the topic, but I was
surprised because even my eyes wanted to close, my mind command it to look up
to the speaker and listen properly. At that time my mind was Idyllic while listening,
active and enjoying the discussion. The seminar is full of knowledge. It gives as
awareness on how HIV/Aids spread and how we avoid in having this disease to
prevent increasing the record of the people infected by this virus entire the world.

It is hard to listen especially if you have no reason or interest to listen

properly but always remember that the speaker or lecturer in front who`s putting so
much effort to give us a knowledge and also whos doing his best to address the
topic easily in order for us to understand it will. Thank you ma`am and God bless.
