What a crazy busy month we had in February! The 20 foot Banana Split was
Linda Tichey delicious and a lot of fun!. Thanks to the many volunteers who helped out with
Bookkeeper the Valentines Day Social on Feb. 15th and our Monte Carlo Casino Night on
Feb. 17th! And..., a BIG THANK YOU to our Sponsor United Healthcare, Pizza
Mary Sullivan Rita, Dominos and all our friends at our neighborhood business partner, R & R
Senior Nutrition Heating and Air Conditioning for their continued support of the Monte Carlo
Night! It was an excellent evening of fun for everyone I hope that the many of
you who attended had a great time! This month we need your support our Annual
Dinner Auction on Friday, March 24th at Northern Quest Casino. NEW items are
still needed for the silent auction! Thanks to the many members, businesses, and
sponsors who have already contributed to this special evening which we hope
will bring in over $30,000 for our operational needs. We simply couldnt do it
without the support of so many people like you! Also, Dont forget our Green

Hillyard Senior Centers trip and tour
policy for travel. The policy is to establish
voluntary participation and assure fair
and equal access to sign up for any and
all future trips and tours.
Our travel policy will incorporate
call in, mail in, and walk in
reservations. The center will utilize a
first pay, first go, method for
registration. Phone and walk in
reservations DO NOT guarantee a
spot on a trip. Participants who call
in and request to be signed up on a
trip but are unpaid are simply
considered to be on an interest list.

receipt of the newsletter. (sorry we
cannot control the order in which
everyone receives their mail).
Participants living outside of the
normal van pickup boundaries
(North to Weile, East to Freya, West
to Division, and South to Indiana)
will be considered for a trip home
pick-up on a individual basis

Non members of the Hillyard Senior
Center will be allowed to participate
in one trip prior to becoming a
member.
Hillyard Senior Center will no longer
refund participants for cancellations
of day trips or tours. However, if a
cancellation is made at least 5
working days prior to the trip, a
credit will be issued for the use of a
trip at a later date. NON-Refundable
Deposits apply to overnight tours.
Individuals requesting a home pick-
up should add an additional $3.00
to the trip advertised price.

swans through the Pend Oreil-
le River Valley. Theyre on
their trip to breeding grounds,
resting and feeding on
Calispell Lake, designated an
important birding area. After we witness their
beautiful journey, well listen to presentations
about our native trumpeter and tundra swans
while we have lunch together at the Camas
Wellness Center. Trip price includes: Trans-
portation, Escort, and Admission. HSC pick-
ups at 8:00am and Home pick-ups afterwards.
Uniontown Sausage Feed

sands of people gather to
enjoy Uniontowns an-
nual old fashioned, Ger-
man style, all you can
eat meal with homemade
sausage, sauerkraut, apple sauce, potatoes,
corn, and pies. You will also find delicious
baked goods and arts and crafts for sale. After-
wards well tour St. Boniface Catholic
Church, built in 1906. Trip includes: Trans-
portation, Escort and Sausage Feed. HSC pick

Ham on Regal

For over 40 years now,
this event has become an
annual must see
presentation. This years
show is titled When
Pigs Fly. You will see
all types of entertain-
ment, singing, dancing,
comedy, and all performers are Ferris High
School staff, students and their parents. Trip
price includes: Transportation, Escort, and
Admission. HSC pick-ups at 11:00pm and
Home pick-ups afterwards.
