II. Lesson Proper

A. Introduction
1. A prayer will be led by the assigned prayer leader.
2. The teacher will greet the students and will introduce himself.
3. The teacher will check the attendance.
4. Motivation
a. The class will be divided into two groups.
b. The teacher will flash pictures of different kinds of sport.
c. Each group must identify as many kinds of sport as
possible.
d. The group with the most number of identified kind of sport
will be the winner.
e. After the activity, the students will be asked the following
questions to relate the activity to the lesson:
o What do you think is common among the pictures
shown?
o Does all of them exhibit projectile motion?
B. Interaction
1. Objectives will be presented by the teacher
2. The teacher will introduce the concept of Projectile
Motion and its definition.
3. The characteristics and/or types of a projectile will also be
discussed.
4. Trajectory and its characteristics, range, and altitude will
be introduced and explained thoroughly.
5. The 2 independent motions of a projectile will be
described and explained.
6. Case 1 or Horizontal Projection will be introduced. Its
characteristics and formulas will also be introduced to the
class.
7. Sample problems regarding Case 1 will be shown to the
class. These problems will be answered and explained one by
one.
8. Guided Practice
a. Practice problems will be given to the students.
b. They will be asked to answer a problem about horizontal
projection.
c. The teacher will roam around to check whether the
students are doing their task correctly.
d. A student will be asked to show his/her answer on the
board.
e. Answers will then be checked and explained by the
teacher.
C. Integration
1. Values Integration
a. The teacher will ask the students to share to the class
their reflections on the importance of projectile motion in
their daily life. Such as in sports, and
2. Generalization
a. The teacher will recap the lesson and check if the
students are ready for the quiz.
3. Seatwork (by pair)
Answer the following Questions
1. A type of motion where an object is projected by some
means and follows a curved path under the influence of
gravity.
2. The path a projectile follows with a characteristics shape of
a parabola.
3. Maximum horizontal displacement of a projectile from the
point of release.
4. Vertical displacement of a projectile at a given time.
5. The force that affects the vertical component of a
projectile.
6. A ball is thrown horizontally from a height of 5.50 m at 25
m/s

b. At what horizontal distance from the pint of release
will it strike?
c. What will the magnitude of velocity be when it
reaches the ground?
