I am pleased to recommend Ms. Danielle Nagy for the position ofSchool Counselor. I have had thc pleasure of
knowing Danielle for the past t\!o years. I have observed Danielle both in thc classroom setting, as I was her
prof'essor lbr t*o semesters at Califomia Lutheran Univcrsity, and as a Counseling Intern at Hillside Middle
School (HMS).

While at tlillside Middle School, Danielle mct with multiple studcnts on a regular basis. She worked with these
students on organizational/study skilis, transitioning to middle school, academics, and conflict rcsolution. In
addition, Danielle has been responsible for monitoring our English Languagc Leamer student population. Shc
monitored their grades each quarter and met with any students who werc receiving a'C' or below. Danielle was
also responsiblc for meeting with all eighth grade students receiving a'D or below. lD addition to meeting with
this student population, she workcd with the parents to foster a home/school relationship in order for the
students to attain academic success.

During her time at HMS, Danielle co-faciiitated an academic/personal/social group tbr students. This group
helpcd students with issues such as organization, peer conflict, al1d adjusting to middle school. In addition,
Danielle has worked in a collaborative manter with teachers whilc at IIMS. She worked with teachcrs and
students in ordcr to improve academics and classroom behavior. Furthennore, Danielle has panicipated in 504
meetings, Student Success 1'eam meetings, Individualized Educational Plan mcetings, and Naviance training
and program implementation at HMS.

ln summary, Daniclle possesses many qualities to mect the needs ofyour l'aculty, school, and students She is
dependable. passionate, and professional. I have observed these qualities. on a daily basis, during her time at
Hiilside Middle School. Danielle genuinely carcs about the students she works with as ifthe students were on
her orvn caseload. She works well with students. parents. and administtation. For thesc reasons, I highly
recommend Daniellc Nagy for the position ofSchool Counselor.
