Sidewalk Sonday School

School supplies are needed for children who have attended Sidewalk Sonday School. They will be given
out at the reunion & backpack give-away on August 10. The following items are needed: spiral notebooks,
glue sticks, folders, markers, rulers, colored pencils, and small scissors. Please bring supplies to the
church by Aug. 1. Thank you for your help!

“Welcome to Zion” video

Your help is needed! We would like to create a short video welcoming people to the Zion UMC website.
All we need is a few moments of your time to tell us what you like about Zion, why you worship here, or
how small groups help your Christian journey. The deadline to share your experience at Zion is July 31.
Recording can be done at church or at your home. If you are interested, please give Ute Adams a call at
795-1811 or email her at uteadams@gra.midco.net to set up a time. The end of July will be here before we
know it, so please contact Ute today!

From the Mission Team

Remember to bring in your Health Kits and/or Health Kit items. They will be collected throughout July. Also,
please remember to set aside any items for our “Second Time Around” Sale at the church on August 14th (9

as well as volunteers (20-30 people) to help prepare and serve the meal. Volunteers are needed to set up,

prepare & serve the meal, and clean up. Youth are especially encouraged to volunteer. Please contact
Grace Sondreal if you can help at 847-2923.

• Psalm 82
• Colossians 1:1-14
• Luke 10:25-37

This Week’s Bible Teaching from Pastor Russ

Text: Luke 10:1-11, 16-20
Sermon Focus: Jesus set up His kingdom on the idea of spiritual participation and not just spiritual
consumption – and wherever He wanted to go himself, he had others go and spread the message for him.
How can this ancient practice of “word of mouth” help us spread the Word to the people around us?
