BADMINTON DOUBLES RULES

TOURNAMENT RULES:
Single Elimination Tournament.
Tournament will be divided into two groups, with three categories as follows:
Level A - Events: Mens, Womens, and Mixed Doubles
Level B - Events: Mens, Womens, and Mixed Doubles
Level C - Events: Mens, Womens, and Mixed Doubles
There will be three (3) champions per category (one per event).
There will only be one winning group (declared as overall champion).
The group that wins most games will be declared as the overall champion.
First to reach 35 points wins individual game (Straight to 35).
All players must wear proper shoes (gum sole), pants/shorts, and shirt.
Only two (2) shuttlecocks will be provided every game.
There will be no changes to the roster after the start of the first game.
Game time is forfeited if no roster is submitted and players are not ready/present to play.
Umpire will control the game; umpire decision is final.
In case of tie, win-over-the-other rule will be implemented.
In case of triple tie, point system" will be implemented.
In case of injuries, only 5 minutes will be the allotted time for recovery.
Otherwise, the injured team loses the game.
In certain cases wherein a team decides not to continue the game anymore,
the last scored points will be the final score; the opposing team, therefore, wins
the game.

START OF GAME:
Shuttlecock toss winner will decide which side to play on or whether to serve first.
Game will continue until a team reaches 35 points.
When a team reaches 18 points, the teams will switch courts.
Serve is made within the serving players court.
The shuttle must be hit underhand into the service court diagonally opposite the server.
Any shuttle hitting the line is considered in.
The server is only permitted one attempt to put the shuttle in play.
The shuttle may hit the net and land in the proper court.
The first serve is always started from the right court whenever a team acquires
the serve from its opponent. The server will alternate service courts each time a
point is made until the serve is lost.
After the serving team commits its first fault, service goes to the other team.

SERVICE FAULTS:
The shuttle does not cross the net.
The shuttle land in the wrong court.
The shuttle is not hit on its base.
The shuttle is hit above the servers waist when hit.
The shuttle is hit in an overhand motion.
The server is outside the service court.
The server has a foot or feet off the ground.
The server steps on a line during the serve.
The server misses the shuttle while serving.
