NEVADA CONSTITUTION: EDUCATION

Nevada Constitution: Education

According to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (2014), Nevada is in the ninth

circuit court of appeals along with California, Arizona, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Washington and

Montana. Of the 19 articles in The Constitution of the State of Nevada, article 11 covers

education (The Constitution of the State of Nevada, Ordinance Preamble Article Section). There

are 10 sections included under the 11th article. The 10 sections under Article 11 include some of

the following: Legislature to encourage education, Uniform system of common schools,

Establishment of state university and Board of Regents. Nevadas constitution shows that is was

approved in 1864 but has since been revised numerous times. While reading through the

constitution, there are changes that have been made for Nevada regarding education that will not

take place until a couple of years from now, specifically about universities. The education article

as well as all other articles in Nevadas State Constitution will probably always change in

attempts to fill the needs of all individuals.
