Corridor 10 Highway: Supervision of the Environmental Management
Plan implementation during construction works, Serbia
Environmental specialist responsible for: supervising, monitoring and
auditing the construction activities, ensuring that the mitigation measures
defined in the Environmental Management Plans are properly implemented
and that the negative environmental impacts of the project are minimized.
Duties on the project include:
o Conducting site inspections and supervising contractors everyday
performance in relation to environmental management;
o Auditing contractors operations against Environmental Management
Plans;
o Liaising with the Client and other internal and external stakeholders;
o Preparing various environmental reports encompassing daily site records,
major non-compliance reports, monthly, quarterly and audit reports;
o Reviewing and analyzing environmental monitoring data (water, air and
soil quality parameters, noise levels)

Belgrade Water Project-Tranche 1: Technical, Environmental and Social
Due Diligence, Serbia

Responsibilities on the project included auditing of current operation of the
Kragujevac City Administration against the Clients Environmental and Social
Performance Requirements and assessment of potential environmental and
social impacts of the planned transportation infrastructure upgrade.

Belgrade Water Project-Tranche 2: Technical, Environmental and Social
Due Diligence, Serbia
The second tranche of the Belgrade Water Project will be targeted at
improving water treatment facilities for a loan up to EUR 4.5 million. Arups
scope of work included Tranche 1 Study Update, Technical Assessment of the
proposed projects and Environmental and Social Analysis.

Technical assistance to lAgence Nationale des Grands Travaux, Gabon (run
by Bechtel Corporation, USA) on the La Cit de Dmocratie project,

package.
o Peer reviewing of water supply, sewerage and drainage systems designs;
o Assisting the Client in coordination and interaction with other international
design companies involved in project;

Conceptual Design of industrial port for "Kostolac" power plant, Serbia
Junior Design Engineer responsible for hydro-technical aspects of the project.
Engaged in defining the port layout taking into consideration requirements for
cargo handling, vessel maneuvering and environmental aspects;
dimensioning of approach channel and port basin according to adopted
design vessel. Client: JP "Elektroprivreda Srbije", Belgrade.
Conceptual and Detail Design for revitalization of " Sulhof" irrigation
channel, Serbia
"Sulhof" channel will be used for irrigation of 4200 ha of agricultural land.
Responsibilities included hydraulic modeling in HEC-RAS software, and
creation of drawings using Aquaterra program package. Client: JVP "Vode
Vojvodine", Novi Sad.
Berth for JP "Transnafta" oil pontoon on the Danube River, Serbia
The project encompassed design of the river bank fortification in the zone of
the berth; and design of ice booms for the berth protection in winter period.
Client: JP "Transnafta" Novi Sad.
Detail Design for river regulation of the Toponicka and Kutinska Rivers,
Serbia
Member of a team responsible for conducting hydraulic and morphology
analysis in HEC-RAS software, and preparation of drawings using Aquaterra
program package. Client: JVP "Srbijavode", Belgrade.
Detail Design for revitalization of water supply network for the city of
Kraljevo, Serbia
Responsibilities included drafting of water supply network node details and
specification of required piping components. Client: JP "Vodovod", Kraljevo.

Research on Carbon emissions from Dutch peat polders
The research examined the relationship between water table levels, land use,
and carbon emissions of Dutch peat polders (taking into account the influence
of the foreseen climate change). Responsibilities included:
o Designing a model for the simulation of the examined relationship;
o Environmental data collection, sequencing and analysis;
o Water balance and carbon emissions calculation;
o Development of fully integrated GIS background; and spatial analysis
in ESRI ARCGIS 9.3 software;
o Development of Environmental Policy based on derived results.

Member of team engaged in preparing a dynamic rainfall-runoff simulation
model for the city of Maribor. Responsibilities included arranging and inputting
