ABSTRACT

Packing is one of the stages in the production process that has a high risk
of accidents due to workers in direct contact with raw materials and machinery.
Hence the need for the implementation of the risk assessment is key in planning
the crash recovery. This research was conducted to study the risk assessment tools
and materials, packing workers, and packing process
This study is descriptive observational with cross sectional approach.
Primary data collected by observation and interviews. Object of this study is the
work at production unit packing PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Krian. The data
collected has been taken and will be presented in tabular form and the processing
of the existing data will be analyzed in a narrative form.
The results showed that the risk assessment performed by PT. Charoen
Pokphand Indonesia Krian yet effective. Risk assessment on equipment and
materials obtained results with the results of hazard identification details found as
many as 14 and 32 the risk of potential hazards, risk analysis and evaluation of
equipment and materials showed that a high level of risk amounted to 9 risk
assessment and risk control of the means of material showed that of 32 there is
still a risk of 15 light green control risk or control ranked less, and the residual
risk on equipment and materials earned 11 out of a total of 32 residual risk
inherent risks. Risk assessment on packing workers details results obtained with
the results of hazard identification of potential hazards found were 9 and 18, the
risk of harm, the results of the analysis and evaluation of risks to packing workers
a high level of risk amounted to only 4 risk, control risk to packing workers shows
that there are 10 rank less risk control, and the results of residual risk in packing
workers earned 6 residual risk of a total of 18 risks. Risk assessment in the
process of packing obtained results with the results of hazard identification details
are found at 24 and 34 the risk of hazard potential hazards, the results of the
analysis and evaluation of risks in the process of packing, there are 9 high hazard
risk, control risk assessment of the packing process shows that there are 20 risk
control less, and the residual risk the results obtained in the process of packing 12
residual risk of a total of 34 risks.
Companies are advised to carry out hazard identification in detail by
looking at the hazards and risks at each stage of the work, the result of
socialization should be done thoroughly to all workers, increased firmness field
supervision, improve the knowledge and discipline of all workers in the
implementation of risk assessment and to comply with the existing SOP by
counseling about the risk of harm's findings on a regular basis.
