The Act of Anti Hadith

I have never written about this subject before. One reason is because it is a very simple subject.
Especially from the Quranic point of view.

First the literal, Quranic point of view about hadith.

The literal meaning of hadith is news, story, message, information, narration, exposition,
speech.

For example the Quran says it is the best hadith or best message or best narrative. Here is the
Quran :

Surah 39:23 Allah has revealed the most beautiful hadith (message) in the form of a
Book, consistent with itself, repeating, the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble
thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises.
Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah
leaves to stray, can have none to guide

Allah has revealed the most beautiful hadith (message) in the form of a Book. In Arabic it
is : "Allaahu nazzala ahsana al hadith, kitaaban mutashaabihan..."

So for those who wish to be known as Muslims you must accept that the Quran is the best
hadith or the best message for you. Again this is from a strictly Quranic viewpoint. powered by

But the fact is as far as I can remember the religious guys have always reminded the Muslims
that if you cannot accept even one verse from the Quran, then of course you become a murtad. Google+ Followers

So in which hadith (fa bi aiyyi hadithin) will you believe in after Allah and His ayaat (ba'dalaahi Submission.org - Your best source

So the Quran says it is the ahsana al hadith or the best hadith. 163

Then the Quran asks in which other hadith will you believe after Allah and His ayaat?

Ok folks, those are just two verses from the Quran which mention the word hadith.

Now here is the second part, the extra Quranic point of view about hadith.

There is also a huge extra Quranic theology (meaning it is outside the Quran) also called the

'hadith'. This is the news, story, message, information, narrations written by the religious people
which they call the hadith.

And they say these news, story, message, information, narrations etc come from the prophet.

Among the Sunnis these extra Quranic material is called the hadith of the prophet.

The Shias have their own collections of 'hadith'. The Shias even have or had their own name for
their hadith. They used the word 'khabar' (as in 'news'). Khabar in Farsi also means news. For
example there is a Shia website called Khabar Online.

But if you search 'Shia hadith' on the Net you can also find Shias using the same word 'hadith' to by Saraswati

After the arrest of Kassim Ahmad, some 'enlighten' souls asked how can he just refer to the Blog Archive

Those people who say that Quran is not enough and that Hadis is required for further details
such as how to pray and how to do the Hajj, etc; should first read the Quran and then decide if
they should be asking the question at all in the first place.

Unfortunately, people who say this do not even read the Quran at all. (And by that I mean
read, not recite).
