Introduction
Thank you for your interest in the Miss Iu-Mien Pageant which will be held in January 27, 2018. The
Miss Iu-Mienh Pageant is dedicated to showcasing the empowerment of young Mien women in a
production that represents culture, intelligence and talent. Individuals, including those without prior
experience, are encouraged to apply and join the Miss Iu-Mien Pageant group.

Pageant Prizes
First place $2000
Second place $500
Third place $300

Additional Awards
Miss Congeniality

(*Minimum of 8 participants and maximum of 15 is required for competition)

Miss Iu-Mien America Qualifications
Be a natural born female
Age 17 -30 yrs old
Single and have never been married (both culturally and legally)
Have at least one biological Mien parent
Have never been pregnant before or if contestant should place, during reign
Be a current student or planning to attend a trade school, college or university.
Able to speak and understand both Mien and English.
Not an immediate family member or have affiliation with Miss Iu-Mien Pageant & Board
of Directors
Be exempt of criminal history
Be nominated by a sponsor
Must be available to attend and participate in Miss Iu-Mien Pageant events upon
request

Pageant Requirements
Complete the Miss Iu Mien Pageant application.
Sign the Agreement Form.
Provide a copy of your state issued identification card.
Satisfy the necessary fees
Submit the necessary photographs and other promotional materials.
A face shot and a full body shot (3X5 or 4X6). Photographs must have
been taken within the past 12 months. Background of your face shot must have a solid
white backdrop. You must wear a white top. No piercings showing. Do not touch up or
edit photos. Hands should not be on or around face area.
Contestants must commit to ALL training and mandatory events prior to pageant day.
In addition, contestants may be asked to participate in additional events in the Sacramento
area.

All interested entrants are required to submit all of the following along with the application to
MissIuMienAmerica@gmail.com.

Entry Fees & Sponsorships

Contestants must submit a registration fee upon application submission.
Each contestant is limited to 2 sponsors. Sponsor fee $300

SPONSOR(S) MAY BE REQUIRED TO:

Provide required outfits/costumes and/or accessories needed

Be available for the contestant to contact/reach
Purchase gifts/flowers to support contestant

SPONSORSHIP WILL RESULT IN

On-stage verbal promotion of your agency

Free visual advertisement on the Miss Iu-Mien Pageant 2018 program
