Statement of Purpose

Background:

I, xyz aged 39, studied Master of Public Health from University of Northern Colorado in 2006
and in 2008 completed my Public Health Degree, GPA 3.7. I also completed Bachelor of
Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery from Dow Medical College, University of Karachi in
December 1997, GPA 3.8.

I am the youngest in a family of five. My mother is a doctor who for the last 20 years has been
working at Qureshi Clinic. My father was retired Engineer and deceased. My two sisters are
doctor and married.

Course:

I have always aspired to choose a career in a field that stimulates me and holds a natural appeal
to me. Today as I stand at the pathway of learning, I have without hesitation chosen the field of
International Business Management that excites me the most and draw the most of my abilities.

Studying Public Health from USA and observing Health and Medical problems in our
community for the last couple of years and coming up with strategies at my college to resolve the
situation has been my source of inspiration and has promoted me to choose Community &
Population Health Sciences studies as my program.

Reasons for coming back to Pakistan:

My family and parents reside in Pakistan and I will join them after completing my studies in
Canada.

Benefits in Pakistan:

Medical Colleges and Universities in Pakistan prefer candidates with degrees from international
universities relative to those with degrees from local universities. After completing my degree
from Canada, I will have a better chance to serve these institutions.
