(What Happened?)
Teacher reminding about the rules to stay
remain in their seats and to raise their
hands if they had questions
Playing music (only the melody) while
students were working on their sketch
books
After the students had been drawing for
half of the class period, the teacher
provided five minutes brake.
Unexpectedly, I saw the teacher took two
students outside of the class and scolded
them. The problem was that when they
entered the class after the break, one
student touched the bottom of a fat student
(he almost cried) and they almost had a
fight.
Reflections & Critical Response

At first, students were calling out the
teachers name to come and check their
works and it was really chaotic. After she
reminded them, the class became well
organized and quiet.
This idea is totally amazing. I always think
that playing music in class would annoy
the learning process. Actually, I was
wrong. I could see that the students were
more productive and focusing on their
works. They said they love listening to
music while drawing and it helps them
produce creativity (I think because music
can calm our minds.)
The teacher took it very serious as she
believed this is bullying. I think this is a
good example for Christian teachers. As a
teacher we are not only teaching content
knowledge but also correcting students
attitudes and guiding them to be good
students. We should remind our students
that we all are beautiful creation of God
created in His own image. There is no
racist in the presence of God.
