1 Confirm relevant vendor factory tests are complete and documentation
available.
Current Transformers
2 Confirm CT is mounted correctly and all connections are correct and
secure.
3 Confirm CT class and ratio is correct to design data.

4 Confirm CT primary polarity is correct. ( P1 / P2 )

5 Confirm CT secondary connections are correct. ( S1 / S2 )

6 Prove CT polarity (Flick Test ) and carry out ratio checks to confirm CT
tolerance.
7 Confirm all secondary wiring is connected and there are no open
circuits.
Voltage Transformers
8 Confirm primary and secondary fuses are correctly rated.

9 Carry out 1Kv IR test on VT windings. HV - LV & E LV - HV & E (

Min value = 10M )

10 Confirm winding continuity. HV windings LV windings

11 Apply test voltage to VT and confirm VT ratio / phasing.

Protection Relays
12 Confirm all connections are correct, secure and there are no open
circuits.
13 Confirm relay identification is correct and to design schedule.

14 Confirm relay type and settings are correct to latest revision of design
schedule.
15 Confirm that the vendor has completed primary injection tests and
operation of protection & lockout relays and that test sheets are
available.

16 On completion of tests, confirm all wiring has been re-instated, frigs

and short circuits removed and relay settings re-set to design schedule.
( if applicable )
17 Confirm all relay front covers have been re-instated and seals
attached.
18 Relays not tested by vendor shall be tested at site. ( Electrical
Commissioning Engineer to confirm ) and Record Results
19 Record Type & Serial number of test equipment used.
