Codes Revealed - Kabbalah on Relationships

You Can't Do It Without 'em

According to the ancient kabbalists, when God made the world, He created a consummate vessel to
receive His beneficence. That vessel He called Adam. Adam would contain all the energy ever to be
manifested in the physical realm of Malchut- and Adam would also be the conduit through which
Light would be channeled and shared.

In the beginning, Adam was both male and female, just as each of us is also created male and
female. That is how we are made, both physically and spiritually, balancing the two aspects. But
when the female aspect was separated from Adam and began to exist Eve, an independent entity,
Adam then became the creative force, the dimension of Zeir Anpin, the kind of super sephira which
includes Hesed, Gevura, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod, - The levels of the tree of life that we have
access to- and is the motivator for Malchut. The energy that needed to be manifested now came from
him, not from the Creator.

When Adam was the vessel for the Light of the Creator his capacity was unlimited, and tremendous
Light was reflected in the physical world. But after the fall and corruption, Adam no longer saw
himself as a channel for the Light of the Creator- he channeled only his own light. Eve manifested
only an essence of Adam; therefore, the female aspect was reduced to serving the male nature, and
the world fell into darkness. Because the female aspect is created in spiritual balance with the male,
Eve could not be greater than Adams spiritual nature, and the universal female presence became a
lesser entity than its original form, because Adam became less than his original form. As the female
aspect diminished, there was less and less light manifested throughout the world. Gradually, through
the generations, a total depletion of Light took place until the time of Avraham.

Avraham was the first person to reveal the concept of one God. He recognized that all things that
move the world come from one Divine Force. As a result of this awareness and his desire to bring
this wisdom to the people, Avraham became the channel for the Light of the Creator. Balance was
restored between male and female as Sarah became the vessel that once again revealed the Light of
God. The role of Malchut, the female aspect, was elevated, and darkness was replaced with Light.
This was the first time since Adam that male and female acted as one. That is why Sarah is referred
to as the "mother"- Eve was called "women"- and Avraham is called "father".

Between the time of Adam and Avraham, there was darkness and negativity in the world because the
Light of the Creator was unmanifested. In fact, the true purpose of sex is to allow the male aspect to
be a conduit for the Light of the Creator, and the female to be a reflector. In order to create and
transformation from darkness to Light, Malchut needs to embrace the obligation of manifesting the
Light of the Creator by awakening the male desire to channel the Light.

There are many examples in the Bible of Malchut rising up and pushing for change. During the time
of the Golden Calf women refused to allow their gold jewelry to be used for the creation of the idol.
They would not allow themselves to be a vessel for anything less than the Light of the Creator and
did not accept the Golden Calf and the idea of idolatry. It is important to note that until that crucial
moment when women chose to use their power to draw down Light, they were treated like chattel.
Not until they saw that the Golden Calf would cause a break in the spiritual system- and that the male
had lost sight of the purpose for which he was created- could they themselves become elevated.

In fact, when the Creator gave the Torah to the people, He gave it first to the women. When the Torah
says: "Speak unto the House of Jacob and unto the children of Israel" the Midrash explains that
"Speak unto the House of Jacob" means the women, and "to the children of Israel" refers to the men.
Why did He give the Torah to the women first? Because the spiritual level of the household and the
spiritual level of future generations is derived from the female.

Today, most of us lose sight of who we are and what we were created for. But in the biblical period,
the negativity was so powerful that it caused a tremendous desertion from spiritual teachings. Still,
the souls that are here today are those that refused to be degraded at the time of the Golden Calf. In
fact, the souls that are here are purer than any that have come before- because each time we
incarnate, we either elevate to another level of existence or at least remain where we were. We
certainly do not become less than what we were when the particular soul that now occupies the body
first came into being. And today weve reached a time when the transformation is happening more
rapidly than ever before. That is why people are more spiritual or spiritually evolved, then at any time
in the past. So many levels of negativity have been cleansed from our souls!

From the Bedroom to the Womb It's All About Consciousness.

It is written in Zohar that when Isaac brought Rivka to his mothers tent a light reappeared - the light
that had left when Sarah died. As a result of Rivkas presence, the light of his mother returned and
with that Isaac knew that Rivka was his soulmate. The Zohar tells us that he knew her, she became
his wife and he loved her. Ordinarily, as relationships go, you get to know someone, you fall in love
with them, then you marry them. The Zohar explains that when Isaac discovered Rivkas sharing
nature, her lack of dependence on material things, her desire to be with people, to go outside of
herself, the qualities that made her different and made their relationship different from others that are
built solely on external things, that is when he chose to marry her.

According to the Torah, Rivka was only three years old when Isaac met her, yet he saw that she was
highly spiritually motivated. Although she came from a negative environment (her brother was the
greatest sorcerer that ever lived and her father was an idol worshipper) she remained pure. As Rivka
grew she became a beautiful spiritual entity. When she was 30, 40, and 50 she was equally beautiful
to Isaac because what he saw in her was her internal beauty.

The lesson the Zohar offers us is that for those seeking a real relationship - one with meaning that
will bring lasting fulfillment - we should not look at the superficial. If we are looking to find the real one
for us, we need to look beyond the external. Dont get me wrong there must be an attraction, and
there is also nothing wrong with having good sex. But know that the purpose of relationships,
spiritually, is to create harmony in the cosmos. How does one do that? How does sex make harmony
in the cosmos? If your desire is to give pleasure to the other person, if you are both sharing and
really loving each other, that coupling generates positive energy in the cosmos as well as in the
marriage, and it affects the children that the union will bring into the world.

The Zohar explains that the consciousness of the parents at conception determines the nature of the
soul that will be drawn to them. Souls hover in the upper realms looking for the perfect environment
to complete their correction, or Tikkune. A soul that requires more difficult conditions, perhaps with
abuse or violence, will search for a union where there is lust, anger, or even pain during intercourse.
On the other hand, a soul that does not require such an intense correction will choose a couple
whose connection is loving, tender and sharing.

The Zohar further explains that the emotional and mental condition of the mother during pregnancy
also has a great impact on the development of a soul. The male provides the seed that creates life
and the woman makes the home. We know, for instance, that the food a woman eats, whether she
smokes or is exposed to smoke, affects the weight and future health of the child. So we do many
things to safe guard our body and the baby during pregnancy. But there is much more to it than that.

The Zohar states that the mother is the catalyst by which the soul of a child is formed - the nature of
the child is determined by the way she thinks and behaves during the time of gestation. For example,
children might steal a candy from a store, or pick up a toy and put it in their pocket. Those children

2
might be considered thieves, but that type of petty thievery we can handle. Then theres Jesse
James, John Dillinger, and Bonnie and Clyde! What I am saying is that the extent of the negativity
that exists in the child is determined by the mothers behavior during her pregnancy. Just as the food
she eats, the cigarettes she smokes, and the medications she takes affect the physical body of the
child, her attitude affects the childs soul. It is much easier to accept and contend with physical things,
what we see, what we eat, its there. This is metaphysics.

There is a sad story about a woman I know personally. During her pregnancy she constantly behaved
as though she was sick. Each time I spoke with her I would remind her that pregnancy is a blessing
and that she is well. She did not work and did nothing for nine months. Of course, I am not
suggesting that if you are sick you have to work, I am only saying that your attitude during your
pregnancy will be expressed in your child. Unfortunately this womans child was born mentally
retarded. So most aware mothers won't smoke cigarettes, but they still get angry, they still rant and
rave and cry. This directly effects the formation of the child who feels and knows every single action
which we do. As the creator of the space that the child grows in, we must be very careful to allow that
soul to have all the beauty that it is worth. The greatest blessing that we give to this world is when we
form another soul to go out and do its work. As parents we should know that childrens work is their
own. In other words, we should let them grow and fall, and let them get up, and let them fall again. As
good mothers, we try to help them, but, they need to grow on their own. The time to really give help
to our offspring is in the womb. That is where we are responsible for that life, that is where we can
make that child a spiritual being.

There was an experiment done on a moshav , settlement in Israel where they grow apples, tomatoes,
potatoes. As part of the study the farmers played music and talked to the seeds and gave them all
kinds of nutrients. The result was tomatoes the size of watermelons. If this can be done for a tomato
just think what we can do with a child, being formed inside our womb.

In any relationship, whether its a relationship with a mate or a with a child, the most important aspect
of our being is consciousness. That is what separates what is from what will be. If you are afraid of a
mugger you will get mugged. What we think is what we bring to ourselves. If you think positive
thoughts you will draw positivity to yourself.

A recent article in the New York Times which cited studies, from l950 until as recently as the summer
of l994, showed the incredible results of the placebo effect. The study done in l994 was remarkable in
that it involved placebo surgery. Dr. J.Bruce Mosley ,the team physician and surgeon for the Houston
Rockets, participated in a unique experiment to explore the value of arthroscopic knee surgery. Ten
patients, middle aged men, who were scheduled for surgery to relieve arthritis in their knees,
volunteered to cooperate in the study. Two of the men underwent the standard arthroscopic surgery
including scraping and rinsing of the knee joint; three men only experienced rinsing alone; and five
had no real surgical procedure whatsoever. Their surgery was a pure placebo. The placebo patients
were stabbed three times with a scalpel to make the whole thing feel and look real. Six months later,
none of the patients knew the details of the experiment, yet all ten said they had less pain and were
happy with the operation.

90% of what we experience is determined by our consciousness.

Many people that say "I am never going to get married," and those people will never get married.
They have made that decision, and that is their consciousness. This principle applies to every aspect
of our lives, from financial success to health. The idea is to forget about those things we are lacking,
and to go out and just pour forth positive energy certain that what we need will come when it comes.

Kabbalah on Astrology

3
The Month of Nissan : Aries

Aries is the first of the fire signs and the first sign in the both the Lunar and Solar astrological cycles.
Even though the Hebrew calendar recognizes Rosh Hashanah as the new year, Nissan is actually
the first month of the calendar year.

Those born under the sign of Aries are typically powerful, energetic, vigorous, pioneering, aggressive,
progressive, militant and domineering. When it comes to fighting, they will do anything to be the
winner and the first to hit the target and defeat the enemy.

Historically, the month of Nissan marks the Israelite exile from Egypt, the beginning of the journey
from slavery to salvation, from bondage to freedom. According to Kabbalah, this month provides us
with the cosmic strength to break free of all limitations and bondage of any kind.

Nissan allows us to leave behind the personal blockages that prevent us from achieving true freedom
in all areas of life. The same energy that was revealed when the Israelite nation left Egypt is revealed
every fourteenth day of Nissan, when the moon is in full force. Nissan is ruled by Mars, the planet of
war, which allows us to wage war on the conflicts in our own lives. It supports us in infusing the year
with the right consciousness in any war zone, whether it is between nations, people, or our in the
conflict that rages between us on a daily basis the fight between the desire to receive for the self
alone and the desire to share.

The opportunity to redesign our entire year, to implement order instead of chaos, freedom instead of
slavery, falls on the fourteenth of Nissan, at the event commonly known as the Seder. Each one of
us has been given the power to utilize this cosmic window and reign victorious in this battle against
negativity.

The Month of Taurus: Iyar

Taurus is a fixed sign, ruled by Venus (Noga, in Hebrew), and the Hebrew letters Pei and Vav. Taurus
inner energy is fire, as it is the left column of the earth signs. Because Taurus is an earth sign,
Taureans are in a constant search for stability in life and financial security. They are typically self-
employed business owners which places them in control of their monies and property. Taureans
have a very strong will to purchase and buy property, houses, land and real estate all in order to
support their need for security. Taureans are very capitalistic, jealous and possessive of their
property. They will frequently experience loss of money to learn to let go of the physical worlds
domination over their lives.

Taureans have healing powers and deep talents to be doctors, astrologers, artists, chefs, singers
and, of course, businesspeople. The Hebrew name for the month is Iyar, which stands for Ani
Hashem Rofecha I am God, your Healer. This offers us all the ability to instigate healing
processes during this month. The signs that best suit Taurus are water signs: Pisces, Cancer and
Scorpio, or the earth signs: Virgo and Capricorn.

Taurus is associated with the Thyroid gland and the neck, best known by their stiff-necked
stubbornness.

The entire month of Iyar falls during the period of Sfirat Haomer (the Counting of the Omer). During
this time we count 49 days between Passover and Shavuot, and each day gives us an opportunity to
correct negative things we did in our past. These 49 days are seven times seven different levels of
negativity, all leading up to the revelation on Mount Sinai and Immortality, accessed on Shavuot.
Because the month of Iyar always falls during the Omer, it is time of low energy. It is a time in which
we can earn the Light that we received on Passover and prepare ourselves for freedom from all
forms of death and end in relationships, business, health, and all aspects of life.

4
The Month of Gemini: Sivan

Sivan is the third month of the Hebrew (lunar) year, and is Central Column of the air signs.

The controlling planet is Mercury, in Hebrew Kochav. Kochavs numerical value is Caf Vav = 26 (the
Yud Hei Vav Hei the Tetragrammaton) and Caf Bet = 22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, together
creating the most powerful and energetic combination.

Mercury is the planet of communication, which means it has the qualifications of an electrical cable,
telephone wire, a teacher, an adviser, a story teller - basically anything that can transfer any
information from point a to point b.

The letter (Zayin) created the sign of Gemini and the letter (Resh) created Mercury. Together these
two letter create the word Raz, whose numerical value is 207 - Light (Or). Raz also means secret
(sod) in Hebrew.

Many secrets were revealed in the cosmos during the month of Sivan. Sivan is known as the month
of Matan Torah - the giving of the Torah. The sixth day of the month, the holiday of Shavuot, is the
cosmic day on which we finish the the counting of the Omer and culminates the 49 days that we
began counting on the first day of Passover. When the awesome light of freedom was revealed on
Passover, this light was given to us with no effort from our side. That is why we count the Omer; to
build vessels, through correcting our actions that cause the Light to be concealed. On this fiftieth day
after Passover, we reach the level of Binah. An awesome amount of light is revealed on this day, as it
is the anniversary of when people of the world received the Torah. The energy of Zeir Anpin - the
endless Light of bila hamavet lanetzach when death was swallowed up forever, which resulted in
immortality. The very same energy of immortality is revealed each year on Shavuot. The Ari says that
whoever remains awake on Shavuot, engaging in Zohar study, is promised to be total protection and
safety until Rosh Hashanah.

Geminis are intellectuals who have the desire to know everything, and an unlimited curiosity to collect
information of every kind. This is because knowledge is power, and the more information gathered
today will make future choices easier to make. The Geminis need to collect information enables
them to choose what is good and what is bad, what is right or wrong. This explains Geminis
tendency to jump from one subject to the other, and that is why, of course, they have many
questions, doubts and uncertainties. The end result is their reluctance to enter any sort of
commitment.

The solution for this personal obstacle is to find a teacher, someone that is able to give satisfactory
answers to all questions. This will enable the Gemini to focus on one way, one God, which gives
them a better chance to reach certainty. There is no greater teacher than a Gemini with a firm sense
of certainty. As a communication sign, Gemini can be the perfect channel, one who can learn,
understand and teach. The ideal for a Gemini is to be a channel for as many people as possible,
especially for those who are lost on their path, and help others to reach their own personal certainty.

The duality of Gemini is expressed in every area of life. They embody the ability to do more then one
task at the same time, as well as the the difficulty to commit in relationships. They have trouble with
loyalty to one political party (as the servant of two masters), and they tend to change moods, like the
wind changes direction and strength. That is why Geminis can be a different person each day.

The Astrological Chart of Rosh Chodesh Sivan

The New Moon of Sivan is on: May 12, 2002

5
The sun and the moon are still in Taurus for another eight days, but four planets have moved to
Gemini: Mercury, Saturn, Mars and Venus. The Correction point is also in Gemini. The air element is
definitely dominant, which means communication is the main issue during this month.

Study: This month is an important time in which a lot of knowledge is reaching everyone. Knowledge
in different fields offers the freedom of choice between the Tree of Life or the Tree of Knowledge of
Good and Evil. Of course there is a duality; questions and doubts, uncertainty and a strong desire to
collect as much information as possible in order to have a better variety of ideas in order to choose
the best way to focus and reach the certainty of Tree of Life. Once they reach the focus, the choice of
one way, one truth then there is the possibility to become a channel and bring Light to other people.

Coupling: Now is an excellent time for meetings that can bring true connections at the soul level.
Venus and Mars are conjunction at the same degree in Gemini, so relationships can now be based
on spiritual and intellectual development, mutual ideas, and thinking on the same wavelength will
bring fruitful togetherness.

Business: In international business, money will come through cooperation, partnership, and family. In
the realms of communication, any business or technology that involves, fashion, real estate, food or
any creative thinking that is open for change, vision and imagination is sure to succeed. Throughout
the month, steer clear of laziness, stagnation, stubbornness and inflexibility, and illusions.

The Month of Tammuz : Cancer

Tammuz is one of the three negative months of the year: Tevet, Tammuz and Av. In Tevet, the siege
of Jerusalem began, in Tammuz the walls around Jerusalem were penetrated and in Av the
destruction of both Holy Temples in Jerusalem took place. Kabbalah teaches us that the course of
history transpires as a result of the cyclical energy processes of the year rather than because of
physical events. Therefore, by looking at the time at which each moment in history occurs, we can
better understand why it happened.

Tammuz is controlled by the Moon. There are seven plants that the Kabbalistic Astrology is based
upon: the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars. Each planet controls two signs,
except for the Sun, which controls only Leo (Av) and the moon, which controls only Cancer
(Tammuz).

Mars controls Aries (fire) and Scorpio (water)

Venus controls Taurus (earth) and Libra (air)
Mercury controls Gemini (air) and Virgo (earth)
Jupiter controls Sagittarius (fire) and Pisces (water)
Saturn controls Capricorn (earth) and Aquarius (air)
Moon controls Cancer (water)
Sun controls Leo (fire)

Because the sun and the moon control one sign each, an unbalanced situation is created in each of
these months. This imbalance causes the crab, the symbol for the month of Tammuz, to walk
sideways rather than forward and backward. This also gives the month of Tammuz the opening for
Cancer to begin, and it is the only month that is named after a disease.

On the seventeenth day of Tammuz, Moses came down form Mount Sinai with the Tablets, bringing
to the world the power and energy of immortality. However, the Israelites and the mixed multitude
were waited impatiently for Moses to come down from Mount Sinai and built the Golden Calf, the
sight of which caused Moses to shatter the Tablets. This moment was marked by a clashing of two
energies: the power of immortality and chaos with suffering, depression and death.

6
The historical fact that the walls were broken on the seventeenth of Tammuz was simply a
manifestation of the incompatibility between the potential of the spiritual vessel and the reality of
desire to receive for oneself alone.

If we do not make an effort to love our neighbor as ourselves, we are essentially choosing the
Golden Calf, and similarly, we cause our own walls to break down and begin destruction in various
aspects of our lives.

Sartan (Eng. Cancer), in Aramaic is made up of two parts: Sar - to remove and clean all the
negativity, and Tan - chaos, hatred, animosity and any aspect of negativity. The power of the month of
Cancer is to remove any problems or negative situations in our lives that might cause this disease to
come to our lives.

According to The Book of Formation by Avraham Avinu, the month of Cancer was created by the
Hebrew letters Chet (which created Tammuz) and Taf (which created the Moon). The moon is unlike
any other celestial body, as it changes its position each day, but remains visible nonetheless. It
begins each lunar month as a thin scythe and reaches its fullest brightness on the fifteenth. From the
moment that the fifteenth day is over, the light of the moon begins to wane, and this cycle repeats
itself each month.

This explains the Cancerians high sensitivity. They seem to need more love than other sign. The
moons waning causes them to feel that there is always something missing, and this leads to
depression. The cure for these low moments is caring, sharing, loving, and giving to others. In
addition, Cancerians must do their best to let go of the past and see beyond ill feelings and wounds.
This is the only way for them to find truly happiness and love.

Cancerians are very domestic people. Their motto is my house is my fortress, and they are strongly
connecting to family and home. They love history and archaeology - anything that reminds them of
the past. They have a sensitive stomach, as this is the body part they hold in the tension and
unsolved emotional difficulties.

Kabbalistic tools like the Zohar, Ana Bkoach, and the letters of the month we can see ourselves
responsible for what is happening to us and build a protective shield from any possible chaos in life,
and make our immune system stronger.

The Third meal of Shabbat, which provides us with a special energy and strength to keep our
immune system from any calamity provides us with additional support during the month of Cancer, to
build a wall of health, happiness and power.

The Month of Leo : Av

Av is one of the three most negative months of the year. The other two are Tevet (Capricorn),
because it is ruled by Saturn, which a planet of harsh judgments,. and Tammuz (Cancer) because it
is ruled by the moon.

Av - sign of Leo is ruled by the sun, and is the Left Column of the fire signs. This indicates an
added influence of fire which is expressed as judgments, burning and consuming fire with no
balance. This is the reason we experience a polarity of events, some negative and some positive.
The Book of Formation says the letter Tet created Leo and the letter Caf created the sun. Together
we get the energetic combination of that controls the month of Av and Leo.

At the center of our solar system, the sun brings each of the planets light, heat and life, without which
organic life could not exist.

7
People born in this month are famous (or infamous) for behaving like the sun. Their trademarks are
leadership, determination, domination and power, and in full force, this combination can lead to the
pitfalls of ego and pride. Leos easily fall into perceiving that they are king. The only control we have is
self-control. Any feelings of ego, pride and superiority can only prevent us from helping others, and
that can never be good.

The month of Av is known for the massive occurrences of negativity that have transpired throughout
history during this time: The Spanish Inquisition, the signing of Hitlers Final Solution, and the
Destruction of both Holy Temples in Jerusalem, which all took place on the ninth of Av.

The number nine, represented by the Hebrew letter Tet, connects us to Sfirat Yesod, which manifests
all of the energy that is gathered from all the upper luminous emanations. Jerusalem was and
remains the energy center of the world. When the people of Israel, and the residents of Jerusalem
specifically, chose not behave with human dignity toward one another, and this energy was created
and accumulated in Yesod, it had to manifest itself, and did so in an explosion of negativity on the
ninth day of Av, in a deadly short circuit.

The ninth day of Av is a fasting day, not because the two Temples were destroyed, but it is a day that
lends itself to calamity. When there is no unity, no minimum of human dignity between people - this
negative energy is accumulated and culminates on the ninth of Av. What is the solution? A change of
consciousness and behavior. It is very easy to point fingers and blame others, but it is harder to
transform oneself and change ones attitude, be patient, forgiving, and loving. If each of us could
perceive ourselves as though we are ticking time bombs, and any self-serving action would trigger
the fuse, we would be much more careful with our actions and words. The ninth day of Av is a day of
destruction, but at the same time it is the birth of Messiah. Where there is the greatest darkness,
therein also lies the biggest potential to reveal tremendous light, but it all depends on our actions.

To lessen the judgment of this month we also have two very positive events:

THE FIFTH DAY OF AV - the death anniversary of Rabbi Isaac Luria (the Ari). He chose to leave the
world on the fifth day - which represents the luminous emanation of Hod, in order to transform daveh
(poor and weak) to Hod. The death of the Ari, which does not represent an actual physical death,
provides us with an opening for awesome light we can connect to by studying his writings on that
night.

FIFTEENTH DAY OF AV - the happiest day of the year. On this day, both the sun and the moon are
full. The sun - Zeir Anpin, the positive pole represents the male aspect of our universe. The moon -
Malchut, the negative pole represents the female aspect of the universe. When the moon reflects
the light of the sun, we receive this power to return light the strength to give, to care, and to love
unconditionally. This is why our sages stated that there is no happier day in the year, and this rare
cosmic opportunity allows us to find our soulmate. The same way the sun and the moon are in
harmony on this day, so too can we draw this partnership to our lives.

The Month of Elul : Virgo

The month of Elul is the completion of the lunar year. This month corresponds to the sign of Virgo,
which is an earth sign and is ruled by Mercury. The sign of Virgo is connected to the practicality,
working and serving others. People born in this month feel the need to achieve financial security
through working, and also have a great need to serve society.

People under the sign of Virgo find success in community careers: as doctors, nurses, or any
profession healing the body and the soul; as social workers, service technicians, bankers,
accountants, and in professions of beauty and fashion.

8
The end of the lunar year expresses the Virgo's need to check and criticize their actions, like a
business man that reviews the year-end balance, profit and loss. That is how Virgos acquire their
attribute of criticism.

It easier to criticize and see what is wrong with others, but much harder to do criticize oneself, and
this is the real lesson Virgos should learn.

When is the correction of the Virgo complete? When they learn to love, honor and accept the other
person as they are without criticism, judgment or trying to change them to their own criteria.

Once the Virgo achieves completely unconditional love, they have finished their correction.

Mercury in Hebrew is Kochav. Numerology value is Caf and Vav = 26 = Yud Hei Vav Hei and Caf Vet
= 22 = the 22 letters of the Hebrew Aleph Bet, which indicates that Mercury is a planet of
communication.

Financially it is not an easy month. Many important change might happen, the need for new business
ventures, different ones with new consciousness. International business connections can take place.

There is also a large incident of immigration in this month, where more people find the need to leave
their homelands in order to go to new places, looking for their luck and to change their lives.

In personal relationships there are more international connections and meetings, which means there
is more openness to go out of the family circle/tribe tradition to meet new and different people and
nations.

There is a greater inclination to widen and enlarge the metaphysical vessel in order to better
understand - through the kabbalistic understanding - the meaning of life, both in the personal and
global realms.

The Month of Tishrei : Libra

Tishrei is the sign of Libra - the seventh month of the astrological wheel that begins in Nissan - sign
of Aries. Libra is Moznaaim in Hebrew meaning scale, the scale on which we weigh fruits, vegetables
or any other things. In ancient times, the scale was used by putting on the objects to be weighed on
one side and stones in units of measurement on the other. In our modern times we use digital scales,
and the effect of the scales has been lost.

In any case, the idea of the scale it to take two opposite and different things and check the difference
between them. On Rosh Hashanah this metaphysical action is takes place when all of our actions are
being weighed, the good deeds and the bad deeds. The scales are being examined, actually, and the
decision is made as to who will live who will die, who will be rich who will be poor according to how
the scale tips.

The month of Tishrei was created by the letter Lamed . This letter is very special as it is the only letter
in the Hebrew Aleph Bet which goes above the line. Lamed is built from two triangles - upper and
lower - to show us that we can build the balance between the parallel universe, as Rabbi Berg
explains. We live in a physical world, but the true world is the metaphysical one. The scales can help
us to connect and fuse the two worlds.

Lamed is the letter of learning, and that is why people born under the sign of Libra are generally very
intellectual people, with big desires to study, learn, know and understand.

The planet Venus is rules the sign of Libra. This is the planet which rules love, couples, money and

9
art. Liras are romantic people, sensitive, loving and also make good business people. They love
esthetics, music and visual arts.

Noga (Venus) was created by the Hebrew letter Pei . Together the two letters Pei and Lamed are the
letter of the sign of Libra.

Libras have the tendency to please the whole world, and some time they lose the Libran balance
because they give too much. They must make a point of saying no from time to time. Libras are good
business people. Venus controls money, which is why Librans need to learn to give charity, donations
and tithing, in order to infuse the money with positivity and give the money the right balance.

The first ten days of Libra are called The Ten Days of Repentance, the peak of which is Yom Kippur
- Day of Atonement - the day on which the verdict is given. Repentance, Prayer and Charity can
nullify any negativity headed our way.

What is happening in this month astrologically?

The Sun and the Moon are together in Virgo, the seventh house - the house of Libra. There is no
doubt that there is a very serious closure of a chapter. A change is on its way. The astrological chart
emphasizes the need for change, which means heading towards a new beginning.

Criticism is in the air, and there is a heightened ability to see what is wrong, what is not working in
professional fields, as well as in the personal and marital life - there is a need for a thorough
housecleaning - to look inside and see what needs to be changed.

Due to the cosmic pressure, there is an unusual need to take on new responsibilities that will result in
year-long commitments in multiple fields Be open to new ideas and stay flexible. You will notice
power plays and control issues at work and on personal fronts. Dont feel threatened.

Mercury not only influences this month, but maintains influence throughout the coming year. Mercury
in Libra puts us at a very positive angle, enabling us to experience beautiful relationships where the
key words are love and understanding. Listen and accept others with an open mind and a welcoming
heart. Through this openness we build a positive and intellectual energy that will influence the course
of this month in the social-human domain. It will also bear influence in the world of technology. An
increase in knowledge and a fortification in romantic and familial partnerships create a strong vessel
for personal and global livelihood. Each one of us has the personal responsibility to understand (the
word understand, in Hebrew, has the same root as Binah )that each and every one of us is
like a grain of wheat When put on the cosmic scale, each grain can change the way the scales tip,
right or left, to life or, God forbid, to death.

The Month of Mar Chesvan : Scorpio

The astrological month of Scorpio, or as it is called in Hebrew Mar-Cheshvan (Bitter Cheshvan), is

the Left column water sign, and is ruled by the plant Mars (Maadim) and Pluto.

The Book of Formation speaks of seven planets in the solar system. In the last century, three more
planets were revealed and as a result, Pluto has been found to bear influence on the sign of Scorpio.

All water signs are emotional, but Scorpions are particularly irrational when it comes to their
emotions. They go to extremes, in both positive and negative respects. There is only black and white
in the world of the Scorpion; no gray areas. If you are not their friend, then you are by default their
enemy, and you will most definitely be treated that way.

As the Left Column of the water signs, Scorpios have a tremendous desire for power and control, and

10
seek these measures at any cost. They do not waver, they do not falter, and they stay their course
with total determination and strength, which can sometimes result in unnecessary force and violence.
Mars, which rules the month of Scorpio, is the planet and Greek god of war, which makes all
Scorpios warriors who have the drive to eliminate their enemy no matter what toll it takes on anyone
else.

Pluto rules life and death, as well as the power and energy of the seed, which at best manifests itself
as new life. It also gives Scorpios deep sexual desires that are rooted in the compulsion to propagate
the human race. In their efforts to be fruitful and multiply, Scorpios can go so far as to damage their
reproductive and sexual organs, leading to impotency, infertility, and cancer.

Scorpio is a fixed sign, which means that they do not like change and want to harness total control
over their lives and the lives of those around them. Their greatest fear is to lose control.

In the Scorpio world of extremes, love is everything. If they feel their love is not reciprocated, this love
can turn into hate. It is very difficult for Scorpios to forgive and forget. The typical Scorpio will not rest
until he has his revenge on the friend that betrayed him and let him down. This is the hardest Tikun
(correction) of Scorpions - to find the Central Column, control the urge to avenge, and to live, love
and let go.

Mar-Cheshvan, as the month is formally known, in Hebrew means bitter Cheshvan. However, it can
be transformed into Ram Cheshvan (elevated Cheshvan). Our job throughout the month is to
transform that which is bitter into sweet, that which is lowly to lofty. It takes a strong consciousness
and self-control to achieve this transformation. It is not easy to make the dark forces completely
white.

Scorpions are very good businesspeople. They like money because it gives them control and power.
They are very good politicians, doctors, physiologists, astrologers, and financiers. They have a very
powerful metaphysical ability and intuition, very strong mystical and spiritual powers. If a Scorpio
chooses the wrong path, they can be the most lethal and ruthless members of the Mafia.

The Great Deluge took place in the month of Cheshvan. Noahs generation was very corrupt and
God saw no other way but to destroy it completely with the flood. Only Noah, his family, and a pair of
all of Earths creatures remained alive because of the protection provided by the Ark.

Cheshvan tends to be a cumbersome month of negative energy. It is one of the only months lacking
in holidays, which makes it a good time to focus on the patterns in which we have fallen, the ill
feelings we harbor, and the grudges that we still bear.

If we overcome the natural tendency toward revenge, toward taking the law in our hands, toward
giving people what they deserve, and stick to revealing more Light in the world, we can hope to
survive this tenuous month. As Rav Berg says, the war against the darkness is not fought with guns
and artillery but by lighting as many candles as possible. The more Light we bring to the world, the
more darkness we eradicate, for darkness cannot exist where there is Light.

The Month of Kislev : Sagittarius

Kislev is the sign of Sagittarius. It is central column of the fire signs, ruled by Jupiter, in Hebrew
Tzedek, and the Hebrew letters Samech and Gimel . The letter Samech created the sign of
Sagittarius. Samech comes from the phrase Somech noflim (supporting the fallen). In the Zohar, the
article called the letter of Rav Hamnuna Saba (the Elder), it says that the Hebrew letters came
before the Creator to ask that the world be created beginning with each one. When the letter Samech
came before the Creator, the Creator told it to go back to its place, which is after the letter Nun ?, and
to support the Nun from falling. That is how we get the word nes ?? (Eng. miracle). The letter Nun

11
created the sign of Scorpio in which the Flood happened, and after the Flood God put the rainbow in
the sky as an omen that there never be a flood again.

Sagittarius in Hebrew is called Keshet, or rainbow. This is the rainbow in the sky, an omen between
God and Noach a flood would never destroy the land. Keshet is represented by the centaur, the
mythological half-man, half-horse figure who hunts with a bow and arrow.

The letter Gimel created Jupiter, which controls expansion and the ability to expand metaphysical
vessels. Jupiter represents the desire to learn, to know, and the fields of science, biology, education,
art and music. Sagittarius is a born optimist; for him everything is always okay and always arranged
in the best way possible. Sagittarians feel they can solve all problems and will do all things required
of them.

Sagittarians are prone to over-optimism, exaggeration, mockery, gambling and light-headedness.

They are natural philosophers, teachers, educators, lovers, communicators, and friends. They like to
travel, they love their freedom and space, and they are interested in world exploration as well as the
study of human behavior, culture and religion. They share their knowledge with whoever seeks it.
They love life and can be quite mischievous children.

Because Sagittarius is the central column (air element) of the fire signs, it has the additional influence
of air. Air fuels the fire and enable it grow and expend, this is why the Sagittarius can be a channel -
instructor - teacher - salesman or any job in communication that combine the knowledge with
humanity.

Sagittarians are adventurous people who make excellent drivers, race drivers, and pilots. They love
sports and challenge their destiny by taking unnecessary risks. Everything they do is on a large
scale, with the help of Jupiter, which expands the Sagittarians mind in business, social and romantic
endeavors!

The most important days in Kislev are the days of Chanukah, which begins on the 24th of Kislev and
ends on the 2nd of Tevet. We light Chanukah candles to connect to the miracle that happened in the
time of the Hasmoneans, when a one days worth of oil burned for eight days in the Holy Temple in
Jerusalem. This amazing example of mind over matter took place because of the two letters that
control this month; Gimel ? whose essence is Gomel Dalim (rewarding the poor), and the letter
Samech, which created the month of Kislev. These conditions, together with the metaphysical actions
that the Hasmoneans did, brought about this miracle that happened 2000 years ago. We are subject
to the very same conditions every year on 24th day of the month of Kislev. This energy is revealed
again for eight days as long as we connect to it through the Chanukah candles, and allows us to
create tremendous miracles in our lives. The power of miracles exists and is available for us to
access every day of the year. We must simply light the candles with the right and proper meditations
and by that we activate this metaphysical system of miracles in our lives.

The Month of Tevet : Capricorn

The month of Tevet and the sign of Capricorn are both ruled by Saturn. Saturn provide the law
enforcement in the cosmos, giving us each exactly what we deserve. This is the reason that Saturn
has gotten such a bad rap amongst astrologers. The Book of Formation, written by Abraham the
Patriarch more than 4,000 years ago, reveals that Saturn is responsible for the distractions, diseases,
death, jails, poverty, disgrace, shame and the many other obstacles that plague our lives.

Capricorn is an earth sign, with a strong connection to the material world. People born in this month
have a strong need for financial security. They believe only in what their five senses convey and have
trouble seeing beyond the apparent. Capricorn represents the Right Column of the earth signs, which
signifies that its internal energy is water. This translates into the Capricorns helpful and caring

12
character.

Capricorns are family-oriented and have strong ties to the home. They are great caretakers who can
often lack faith in the Light-force because they are easily controlled by physical forces. They fear
what tomorrow might bring and a potential lack of funds for survival. These fears keep many
Capricorns from becoming more spiritual.

Those born in Tevet are traditionally reliable, responsible, caring, thrifty, and punctual. After all, time
is money! They make excellent business people, accountants, engineers, attorneys, and in any
disciplinary position, from crossing guard to drill sergeant.

According to Book of Formation, the Ayin and Bet are the Hebrew letters controlling this month. The
letter Ayin created Capricorn and the letter Bet created Saturn. The combination of Ayin and Bet is
the level of Chochmah when the Yud Hei Vav Hei is spelled out, and Capricorns do have this
wisdom, because the original desire of Saturn is to reach the Light.

The first verse of the Ana Bkoach Ana Bkoach Gdulat Yeminech Tatir Tzerurah is the verse of this
month, and gives us the energy to overcome the limitations of the physical world.

Capricorn is one of the three hardest months of the year, but thanks to the holiday of Chanukah,
which extends itself to the first two days of Tevet, we do receive an injection of Light-force that can
sustain us through the month.

The Month of Shevat : Aquarius

The month of Shevat correlates with the astrological sign of Aquarius, which is an air sign. It is the
third of the air signs: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Aquarius represents the Left Column of the three.
Aquarius is ruled by two planets. Traditional astrology attributes control of this month to Saturn, and
modern astrology has given credit to Uranus, discovered by the astronomer William Hershel on
March 13, 1781. For more information on this important discovery, see the book Miracles Mysteries
and Prayer by Rav Berg).

Saturn, the seventh planet in the solar system, is the planet of judgment, order, responsibility,
discipline and laws (Book of Formation, page 102). Uranus is the eighth planet in the solar system,
the one that breaks the proximity and limitations of seven - seven days, the seventh day, seven
colors, seven notes etc.

Uranus elevates us to new consciousness and new concepts beyond limitation. This is why the Age
of Aquarius and the month of Aquarius are considered times of change. Both are times of new
knowledge, inventions, humanity, the need to help, to understand and to support the needy.

The energy of Uranus also connects to the air element - intellectualism, innovations, and new
concepts that will bring the world to a higher level of consciousness.

Aquarians are rebellious by nature because they are constantly faced with penetrating questions
concerning their individuality, their uniqueness and their identity. This is the reason that they strive to
break old boundaries. To Aquarians, the past is but a fleeting moment, and they disconnect from the
past in order to find a fresh and unfamiliar reality, a new truth to fit the new times. Uranus orbits the
sun every 84 years, which explains the common phenomenon of the midlife crisis that plagues 40-
42 year olds. It is actually a case of Aquarius-it is, when we begin to question our lifes purpose and
make plans for the next 40 or so years.

Aquarians make excellent computer technicians, scientists, and social workers. They thrive doing
anything revolutionary, especially in tasks that carry the flag of social-political revolution.

13
The Sign Aquarius

The Kabbalists explain that the Age of Aquarius began approximately 400 years ago and is
considered the Age of Revelation, or the Age of Redemption. Why does Aquarius, or "Shvat"
according the Hebrew calendar, symbolize redemption? Because Aquarians perceive the world as
unified, and Kabbalists consider this to be the basis of true redemption. Redemption is when all
negativity is cleansed, when humanity is free of evil and fragmentation. Because of their higher level
of consciousness, Aquarians are directly linked to this redemptive moment.

Aquarians are unique they stand out in a crowd and cannot be ignored. They show great promise
as children and as adults they are idealists who strive to change the universe with original ideas.
They are rebels, and their concern is the well being of humanity as a whole. They rebel against
established ways of doing things, always looking to find new, better ways to solve world problems.

Though Aquarians seek justice for all, this is a global quest, not a personal one. They support things
that are grand and noble, while they fail to be sensitive to those around them who are suffering.
Aquarians often lack a sense of the practical, and they are passionately independent and private.
Their desire for originality causes them to set themselves apart from the crowd. Despite their
friendliness and open-mindedness, they are also the most stubborn of all signs. They reject all
established structures, and fight to maintain their individuality and freedom in order to exercise their
innovative ideas. They detest confinement of any sort.

Yet the most challenging barrier they face is most often their own egos. Even as they begin to make
changes in their lives, their focus tends to be external, and they have trouble really changing from
deep within.

Aquarians have the power to break free of the limitations of the physical world. But to manifest this
power, they must control the aspects of their nature that interfere with its accomplishment. Aquarians
are capable of helping humanity, as long as their own ideas do not become more important than the
cause itself. True spirituality means being part of humanity, not above it. Unfortunately, Aquarians
usually have such high opinions of themselves that imposing their own views can become their sole
objective. Aquarians must conquer their pride, and realize that they have been entrusted with their
attributes in order to manifest a certain force in this world. They are merely channels for this energy,
and so are not entitled to personal glory.

For those born under the sign of Aquarius and for those now about to become influenced by the
cosmic energy of Aquarius, you can attain the consciousness of a cosmic reality and feel responsible
for humanity as a whole. You can know true friendship and perhaps even universal fraternity. And
Aquarians have the strength for this task, from past lives. You can experience an exceptional and
unique adventure in the history of humanity if you manage the most difficult restriction silencing
your ego and practicing humility and modesty while living in simplicity.

The Month of Adar : Pisces

Pisces completes the astrological cycle that begins with Aries. It is Central Column of the water signs,
and is controlled by two planets, Jupiter and Neptune.

Jupiter controls two signs: Pisces and Sagittarius. These two months, Adar and Kislev, are
characterized by the tremendous miracles that took place because of the energy of Jupiter.
Sagittarius marks the miracles of Chanukah. Adar coined the miracle of Purim, created by Esther,
Mordechai, and the unity between the Jews in Shushan, Persia. This togetherness and mass effort
of unconditional sharing caused the miracle that prevented the total extermination of the Jews in
Persia, under Achashveroshs rule.

14
Jupiter is the planet of success, miracles, expansion of the metaphysical vessel and our extension of
our spiritual ability.

The second planet that rules Pisces, Neptune, was discovered only in the 19th century as the planet
to rule the abstract; the planet itself has no boundaries or limitations, as it is surrounded by gas. It
controls intuition, imagination, creativity and art. It provides us with the ability to see and understand
beyond our five senses.

The combination of these two planets gives Pisces a very powerful emotional ability. They are
remarkably sensitive and vulnerable with the strongest intuition of any sign. They are very deep
people, whether it comes to opinion, thought, or inspiration. Pisceans have an uncanny talent for
sensitivity toward others, for they can truly enter a persons heart and mind and experience the pain
and suffering of others.

They have the metaphysical ability predict the future, and they can often be psychic and clairvoyant.
Many Pisceans have a gift for mathematics, science, and metaphysics (Albert Einstein was a
Pisces). The symbol for Pisces is two fish swimming in opposite directions. The fish swimming
against the stream represents the powerful Pisces potential. They can be sharks as charismatic
and strong leaders with vision and clarity about leadership that can guide an entire nation, like
Moses, who was also a Pisces. But those Pisces who prefer to go with the flow can be weak people
who get carried away easily and are prone to addictive patterns of behavior.

Adar is known for the holiday of Purim. According to the sages, it will be the only holiday that will
continue to be celebrated throughout the world after the Messiah comes. When Adar begins, joy
enters, as the famous Hebraic phrase goes. It is a month of happiness, miracles and wonders. It
affords us the ability to achieve mind over matter, to overcome our doubts and connect to the Light.

Adar is the only month that repeats itself in a single calendar year. Because of the difference
between the lunar and the solar year, the sages add an extra Hebrew month to the lunar year in
order to balance the two. This instance occurs randomly 7 times every 19 years. When we
experience two months of Adar, we are given an extra dose of that powerful energy. Adar is the last
of the feminine months and is the sixth month since Libra and the Jewish New Year. Six represents
Yesod, the luminous emanation that transfers energy to Malchut (our realm), so Adar gives us even
more potential to become channels for others.

THE IMAGE OF YHVH

by
Luana Fabry

Some of the earlier Kabbalistic writings reveal much to us about the identity of Yeshua (Jesus),
Messiah and Son of G-d. I cannot go into great detail, but what I will relate, I think is convincing
enough to show that most NT concepts of Yeshua are simply reiterations of already existing Jewish
concepts. The first book I would like to quote from is the BAHIR. It is one of the oldest and most
important of all classical (not occultic) Kabbalah texts. It precedes the Zohar and is much quoted in
the Zohar. The Bahir was first published as a book in 1176. The concepts, of course, existed long
before the time of Yeshua, in the oral tradition.

In the Bahir, we find the Kabbalistic concept which states that G-d has ten attributes (Sefirot)
associated with each of His Names. They are as follows:

Keter (Crown) - Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh (I will be who I will be)

Chokmah (Wisdom) - Yah

15
Binah (Understanding) - YHVH Elohim
Chesed (Love) - EL
Gevurah (Strength) - Elohim
Tiferet (Beauty) - YHVH Adonai
Netzach (Victory) - Adonai Tzvaot (L-rd of Hosts)
Hod (Splendour) - Elohim Tzvaot (G-d of Hosts)
Yesod (Foundation) - Shaddai / El Chai (Almighty/G-d of Life)
Malkhut (Kingship) - Adonai

These ten Sefirot represent the fullness of G-ds divinity.

1. ADAM KADMON - G-dS ATTRIBUTES IN HUMAN-LIKE FORM

The Bahir (p95) says, that G-d created man from a blueprint. Quote: ...the form (image) of G-d in
which He created man is actually G-ds blueprint form for man. This form or blueprint consisted of
G-ds first thought in creation, and hence the highest level of creation. This is referred to as Adam
Kadmon (Primeval Man). End quote.

His body (Adam's) is a copy of the Adam Kadmon which represents the Sefirot (attributes of G-d) in
their totality and unity. (Jewish Mysticism: the Kabbalah, Epstein)

The Sefirot are visualized in arrangement under a human form, Adam Kadmon (Primordial Man).
(Jewish Mysticism: the Kabbalah, Epstein)

Ok, so G-ds ten attributes took form, as that of a man. This form is known as Adam Kadmon. It was
in this image that Adam was created.

2. TORAH AS BLUEPRINT

The Kabbalah says that the Torah is also G-ds blueprint for creation.

In page 91 we read, quote: The word Torah refers to the entire spiritual blueprint of creation.

We can therefore conclude that Adam Kadmon and Torah are the same - the blueprint of creation.

3. TORAHS INVOLVEMENT IN CREATION

The Midrash states that G-d sought advice from the Torah before He created the universe (Pirkei
Rabbi Eliezer).

Also, from the Bahir, p96, quote: In Proverbs 8, it is Wisdom who speaks... The Torah is Wisdom
and is therefore the head of creation... The Torah was the blueprint of creation and therefore
preceded it.

So now we see that the image of G-d (Adam Kadmon), Torah and Wisdom are the same.

Have you read Proverbs 8:21? Ill write v21-23 and 27-31 to save space. It says this:

v 21 The L-rd brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old;
I was appointed from eternity, before the world began....

16
v27, I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of
the deep, when he established the clouds above, and fixed securely the fountains of the deep, when
he gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command, and when he marked
out the foundations of the earth. Then I was the craftsman at his side. I was filled with delight day
after day, rejoicing always in his presence, rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind.

Now we can understand why John says: In the beginning was the Word (Torah), and the Word was
with G-d and the Word was G-d. He was with G-d at the beginning. Through him all things were
made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:1-3

Another central book to Kabbalah is the TANYA. Here we find identical statements to the Bahir. In the
English version of the Tanya, each time the word Yeshuah appears, it is italicised. It is used in the
following contexts:

Quote: This is the meaning of salvation upon his head: yeshuah. May their horn be exalted by the
yeshuah of He who causes to sprout the horn of yeshuah, the sprout of tzedakah (righteousness)
from the helmet of yeshuah. End quote.

This, of course, is what Paul is referring to in Ephesians 6:17 - Take the helmet of salvation
(Yeshua).

Again in the Tanya, Darkness converted to light is referred to as yeshuah. Compare to John 1:4 -9.

4. UNITY OF G-d AND YESHUA

Many times Yeshua said that he and the Father are One. What does the Tanya say?

Quote: For the Torah and the Holy One, blessed be He, are one. p289

And again... Quote: As the holy Zohar states, He and His attributes are a perfect unity. 297

And again.. Quote: For He, blessed is He, and His Wisdom are one, in an absolute unity. p495

And again.. Quote: The Torah and the Holy One, blessed is He, are entirely one. p525

The Bahir already established that the image or form of G-d is His Attributes and blueprint for
creation. It then states that Torah is the blueprint. Then it states that all was created through Wisdom
and that Wisdom is Torah. Therefore, all of these are Adam Kadmon - the image of G-d - and he and
G-d are a perfect unity.

In the Peshita translation of the Tanakh (Aramaic), it says in Genesis 1:27, G-d created man WITH
his image. In the image of G-d he created him. Who is the image of G-d?

Finally, in a 19th century dictionary by W. Wheeler, under the topic of Adam Kadmon, it says:

Quote: Adam Kadmon: The first form to emanate from the Infinite One, was the body of Adam
Kadmon. He is the first production of divine energy or Son of G-d.

As far as I can conclude, Yeshua is the earthly manifestation of Adam Kadmon. He is the Torah and
Wisdom, the fullness of the attributes of G-d, who came in the flesh. He is divine because, as the
Mishna says, the Torah is divine. As the embodiment of G-ds Divine Attributes, he must therefore be
also divine in his spirit. He was there in the beginning. All things were created through him. He

17
and the Holy One, are a perfect unity. He is the visible IMAGE of the invisible G-d.

He is the visible image of the invisible G-d, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were
created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible... for G-d was pleased to have all his
fullness dwell in him. Colossians 1:15-20

John & Paul were very kabbalistic in their definition of Yeshua. When you read what they say, it is
obvious they are only reiterating the same concepts, almost word for word, that we have just seen in
the Kabbalah.

Now we can understand Yeshuas statements which imply he was there in the beginning, such as
before Abraham was, I Am. It was the Adam Kadmon who came in the person of Yeshua. He came
as salvation and as the full embodiment of Torah.

I leave this with you for the purpose of reading the NT in the light of Jewish thought rather than Greek
thought. It is the Greek mindset behind the words which confuses us. But when we read those same
words with the Jewish mind, the confusion goes. As you can see, it had all been said before.

Kabbalah's 13 Rules of the Game

by Yehuda Berg

1. Don't believe a word you read. Test-drive the lessons learned.

2. Two basic realities exist: Our 1 percent World of Darkness and the 99 percent Realm of Light!

3. Everything that a human being truly desires from life is spiritual Light!

4. The purpose of life is spiritual transformation from a reactive being to a proactive being.

5. In the moment of our transformation, we make contact with the 99 percent realm.

6. Never - and that means never - lay blame on other people or external events.

7. Resisting our reactive impulses creates lasting light.

8. Reactive behavior creates intense sparks of Light, but eventually leaves Darkness in its wake.

9. Obstacles are our opportunity to connect to the Light.

10. The greater the obstacle, the greater the potential Light.

11. When challenges appear overwhelming, inject certainty. The Light is always there!

12. True internal change is created through the DNA power of the Hebrew letters.

13. All of the negative traits that you spot in others are merely a reflection of you own negative traits.
Only by fixing yourself can you change others.

And finally, ULTIMATELY:

Love thy neighbor as thyself. All the rest is mere commentary.

Now go and learn.

Excerpted from the book "The Power of Kabbalah" by Yehuda Berg

The Soul and its Salvation according to Lurianic Kabbalah

In comparison with the Zohar, Lurianic teachings regarding the soul were far more elaborate. In one
teaching the formation of the soul recapitulates the process of cosmic emanation and contributes
towards the cosmic redemption or tikkun. Explains Scholem:

"Just as the supernal lights of the partzufim of Atzilut develop through conjunctions and "couplings"
(zivvugim) of the parztufim, so are the souls born through a corresponding process. Within the
Sefirah Malkut of each parztuf are...souls in a potential state that ascend...and are actualised as a
result of the "unions" of the (higher) Sefirot. At the outset these souls exist only in the state of
"female waters" (mayyim nukbin); that is, they are passive potencies that...lack harmony and
form....Only through additional "couplings" of...Ze'er Anpin with its female counterpart or Nukvah do
they receieve the actual structure of souls. With each new arousal of the "female waters" in these
parztufim, new opportunities arise for the creation of souls. Such a process occurs in all four
worlds...., the possible variation in modes of souls being practically infinite. Each of these souls
recapitualtes...the structure of the worlds through which it passed (when)...being created, so that
when it descends to enter a body in this world it will be able to work towards the latter's tikkun...and,
to some extent,...the uplifting of the higher worlds as well."
[Kabbalah, pp.161-2]
No mention is made of the doctrine of gilgul or reincarnation in this particular account, although it is
important in some other Lurianic and post-Lurianic teachings regarding the soul. Actually, the
problem here is also what is meant by the term "soul"? Since the Kabbalists speak of a number of
different "souls", corresponding to the various worlds or sefirot in the emanation sequence, it may
well be that what is being referred to here is something qite different to how the word "soul" is
generally understood today: as the essential "I" or self distinct from the body - assuming of course
that such a simplistic dualistic definition is even valid at all. But it seems that what is being referred
to in the above doctrine is the origin of the various psychic principles (now that's a better term than
"soul") that make up our consciousness. Rather than being simple dualistic beings, we are made up
of a number of different faculties, which existing together in the body make up what we like to call
"consciousness". These faculties, being different in nature (for example, the thinking faculty is not
the same as the feeling faculty), would originate from different worlds or planes or spheres of
existence, which correspond to or are the cosmic equivelent of those particular individual faculties.
But the basic dynamic behind the formation of each psychic faculty may be the same, even if it
occurs on different planes (the old law of correspondence again), and would logically also
recapitualte the formation of the cosmos as a whole. So Anthropogenesis or Psychogenesis (pick
whichever big word you prefer) recapitaltes cosmogenesis. Hence the above Kabbalistic doctrine.
Another novel Lurianic idea regarding the soul (that terrible ambiguous word again) is that the
neshamah or higher soul proper does not actually enter into the body or the lower worlds at all.
Instead, it radiates a spark of itself downwards to the mode that we call the "soul", but strictly
speaking can only be called a soul (neshamah) by analogy only. The true soul remains above,
hovering over the person, whether from near or afar, but maintaining a link with its spark below [Ibid,
pp.148, 162].

This interesting idea - that even the individual divine or spiritual principle does not incarnate, but
instead sends down an emanation or irridation - was also taught by the Neoplatonist Iamblichus,
regarding the Nous or Divine Mind. Since it is unlikely that Luria was familiar with the teachings of
the classical Neoplatonists, this seems to be a realisation independently arrived at. And this same
idea of an overshadowing individual spiritual principle was to reappear in H.P.Blavatsky's doctrine of
the Higher Manas or Ego (which inspired later theosophical writers like Alice Bailey), as well as
Qabalistic occultists like Aleister Crowley with his doctrine of the Holy Guardian Angel.

A third Lurianic teaching on the nature of the soul regards the soul of Adam; that is, the human

19
biblical Adam, as opposed to the Adam Kadmon Godhead. But even here in Sunday School land
things are not as they seem. For the Lurianic Adam did not contain just a single soul, like the
conventional Christian Adam. Rather, he was also a sort of cosmic figure, containing all the souls of
everyone who would be born, in a single mass in the breath (neshamah; as with the Indian Atma and
the Latin Spiritus, the individual spiritual principle was originally identified with the breath) God
breathed into his nostrils [see e.g. Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag, An Entrance to the Tree of Life, p.115]. As
the inimitable Gershom Scholem explains:

"The soul of Adam was composed of all the worlds and was destined to uplift and reintigrate all the
sparks of holiness...left in the klippot....It had 613 limbs, one for each of the commandments in the
Torah.....Each of these limbs formed a complete partzuf in itself known as a "great root" (shoresh
gadol), which in turn contained 613, or according to other versions, up to 600,000 "small roots". Each
"small roots", which was also referred to as a "great soul" (neshamah gadolah), concealed within it
600,000 sparks or individual souls. These sparks too were apt to fission still further, but there
remained a special affinity and power of attraction between all the sparks that descended from a
common root. Each of these sparks formed a complete structure or komah in itself."
[Gershom Scholem, Kabbalah, p.162]
So, what we have here is a very interesting idea. Ignore the religious stuff about Adam; that's just the
way the revelation appeared, through Isaac Luria who had a particular cultural and religious
understanding and naturally interpreted things along those lines. But we want to understand the
essence of things, independent of religious or cultural or personal distortion. So we have to extract
the wheat from the chaff. So, what is being described here is a sort of psychogenesis - a theory of
the origin of the souls. We have the idea that all the souls originated from a primordial anthropos, to
use the Gnostic term. This Adamic anthropos, being a divine being, was organised in a particular
archetypal, mandalic manner, hence the refence to "613 limbs". Of course, it doesn't have to be 613;
it could be any number. 613 is chosen on purely theolotgical grounds (the number of positive and
negative observences or precepts (mtzvahs) in Judaism. The derived divine souls or sparks still
retain their connection with kindred souls of the same "root". Hence we have "kindred spirits"; souls
bound together by a common purpose, because they originated from the same archetype-aspect of
the original anthropos. Their purpose therefore is the purpose defined by that particular aspect; a
particular role to be played in the Divine Plan of cosmic evolution and unfolding. So perhaps a lot of
hastles in this world come from souls with different missions that have been thrown together and are
clashing, because of mutual incompatability: he/she/they don't understand me. People with totally
different destinies may be stuck together in mutually frustrating relationships, and they have to work
out all that personal karma before they can get on with their true spiritual mission, the mission
represented by that particular aspect of the original anthropos from which their divine soul derives.
The question is, how did all the souls get separated in the first place?
Luria relies on his favorite and very dramatic explanation; the Fall. And here he combines the
exoteric biblical doctrine of Adam's fall with his own esoteric gnostic doctrine of the pre-creation fall.
According to him, if Adam, who had the fully developed powers of Adam Kadmon, had fulfilled his
mission through contemplative action and deep meditation, the living chain between God and
creation would have been completed, and the power of the evil Klippah totally overcome. But his fall
caused the cosmos - already in bad straights after the "breaking of the vessels" - to fall even further.
The world of Asiyah, which had previously stood firmly, was now immersed in the realm of the
Klippot. As a result of this admixture of the world of Asiyah with the klippot, Adam assumed a
material body and the unity of his soul was shattered. The fate of the fragments had either of three
possible outcomes, depending on their purity.

Those soul-elements of high rank, called the "upper light" (zihara ila'ah) which refused to participate
in his sin departed for above, and will not return to the world until the time of redemption.
(Incidentally, there's a parallel here with Basilides, who speaks of the first two "Sonships" ascending
to the spiritual world, while the third remains below caught in matter).

Other souls remained in Adam even after his statue was reduced from cosmic to mundane

dimensions; these were holy souls that did not fall into the clutches of the klippot, including the souls
of Cain and Abel. They entered bodies through directy hereditary transmission rather than
transmigration (gilgul).

But the majority of souls that were in Adam feel and were subjigated by the klippot; they must
achieve their tikkun through the cycle of transmigration. Here we have a parallel with the Indian
doctrine of karma, rebirth, and eventually liberation or enlightenment.

It is interesting to compare the above with the Gnostic and Manichaean theory of souls or sparks
stuck in matter. The rather chauvanistic Gnostic cosmology has the origin and circumstances of the
trapped sparks as due to the pre-creation sin and/or fall of a female creative divine principle called
Sophia; the sparks originating from the light or spiritual principle (pneuma) of Sophia that had
become captured by the hostile cosmic powers or archons (rulers), and Sophia engaing in a battle of
intrigue and conter-intrigue to trick the archons into giving up the spiritual light. Eventually, an
anthropos-like masculine saviour - either Seth or Jesus - has to descend to give saving gnosis.

In Manichaeism, the anthropos-like Archetypal Person, here called Anthropos (what else?), the
primordial Soul, voluntarily sacrifices himself (or herself; the gender doesn't matter as "Anthropos"
simply means "human being") by allowing himself to be swallowed up by the darkness or Ahriman.
Both principles, Anthropos and Ahriman, are like a poison to each other; while the bulk of Anthropos
is rescued by other Divine Powers and returns to his/her spiritual station (like Luria's zihara ila'ah),
much of his/her being remains as souls or light trapped in darkness; yet the very presence of these
souls work to bring about the eventual downfall of the darkness.

Luria's Adamic soul-doctrine seems to include elements from both the above teachings - both the
foolish Sophia of the Gnostics and the noble Anthropos of the Manichaeans. As Scholem explains:

"...Lurianic Kabbalah went to great lengths to play up the dramatic elements of Adam's sin and its
consequences. The entire history of the Jewish people and the entire world was identified with the
recurrent reincarnations through which the heros of the Bible struggled to acheive tikkun. Among
these heros were both "original souls" (neshamot mekoriyyot), which...were capable of great powers
of tikkun whereby the whole world stood to benefit, and other, private, individual souls which could
achieve a tikkun only for themselves..."
An interesting parallel with Mahayana Buddhism here; the idea of the Bodhisattva who works for the
salvation of others, as opposed to the individual realiser of enlightenment or arhat. Mahayana
however stresses that the option is open for anyone on the spiritual path to become a bodhisattva,
eventually, if he or she works at it. The Lurianic position institutes a more elitist teaching, only
special, very elevated and so to speak archetypal souls - equivalent perhaps to the Buddhas of
Theravada and popular Mahayana, sharply demarcated from the ordinary spiritual aspirant - have the
status of neshamot mekoriyyah.
And what of the theory of related souls, or multipsychogenesis? Well,

"...Souls descending from a single "root" comprised "families" who had special relations of affinity
and were especially able to help each other. Now and then, though very rarely, some of the upper
souls that had not even been contained in the soul of Adam might descend to earth in order to take
part in some great mission of tikkun..."
[Kabbalah, p.163]
This last sounds suspiciously like the Vaishvanite doctrine of avatars; e.g Lord Krishna as described
in the Bhagavad Gita, although in Vaishvanism there is no concept of a movement towards ultimate
cosmic restitution (tikkun). And of course, the Avatar is not a "soul" at all, not even an extremely
elevated one
