Housing sheet meal, site panel (cotapsbe)n-ullsink, water faucet - arengement wih waterinet& cle hose pipe nipples MAINS CONNECTION Connect the Belt Grinder to mains connection of 220 V., 60 Hz., single phase A.C. with the help of connection cord, Page No. 1INSTALLATION & CHANGING THE BELT ‘Open the right hand side panel of the machine housing, Pressthe adjustable belt bracket, with the help ofthe handle provided, opposite to your side. Arrow mark 's indicated on the inner side of the belt. Lay the belt over the guide rollers, such that arrow mark is opposite to your side. Then release the adjustable belt bracket. Pull the same to your side gently. The belt is: now tightened. The center position of the belt can be adjusted by running the machine and adjusting both allen screws. After installation of the belt ,close the side cover of the machine again For changing the belt follow the same procedure On the left hand side of the grinder you have the water inlet and outlet connections. Connect these by flexible pipes to Tap and Drain respectively. Water faucet is provided to rinse the specimen so that sensitive heat treated components do not get burn mark while grinding. Also this is helpful to cool the specimen if the same is getting overheated, during grinding Please note that flexible water faucet should not be faced on the belt directly. GRINDING Forgrinding, the specimenis heldon the grinding table with gentle pressure and then moved sideways overthe belt width SPECIFICATION OF THE BELT Aresin-bonded grinding belt of Medium / Fine grade should be used. ‘Special care should be taken that the belt doesnot have an overlapping split but its ends are butt-joined like the belt that is supplied with the machine Recommended to use ‘Medium grade or Fine grade of 100x915 mm, MAINTENANCE & CLEANING The grinding dust inside the hou: cleaner. ng should be removed from timeto time with the help of a vacuum Before any cleaning or maintenance work is started un-plug the machine from the mains, Page No. 2
