building wall with a superhero poster, suddenly the words boom
appear and Mr Ex-Cell-ent crashes through

Hey kids! I am the amazing Captain
Ex-Cell-ent, and yes, its a pleasure
to meet me!

Captain EX-CELL-ENT
My super power is called Mitosis and
it comes from the chromosomes safe
inside my Nucleolus. Chromosomes
contain all your genetic information.
I know Im amazing!

Before I can duplicate I must go
through 5 stages. Its hard work,
kids, but its my solemn duty and
everything I do, I do for you. I
know Im invaluable.

My first stage (Prophase) I start as

a parent cells with only a few
chromosomes, holding DNA from your
parents.

Shows the few single chromosomes the cell

floating around for Prophase

My second stage (Prometaphase) my

chromosomes make identical copies of
themselves, then in my third stage
(Metaphase) line up along the centre,
preparing myself for dividing.
Camera stays in focus as chromosomes make identical copies for
the Prometaphase stage, then line up in the centre of the
Nucleolus preparing the captain ex-cell-ent for division

My forth stage (Anaphase) I start to

pull apart to make more of my
handsome self, and for my finally
stage (Telophase) POW! i split apart
to create 2 identical versions of
myself with identical chromosomes,
arent we fantastic and wonderful
kids

Camera shows the Nucleolus slowly dividing into two, then the
words POW appear and disappear to reveal two captain cells.

Actually, youre not the only one who
can do that.

Cell-guy divides into two more cells very suddenly.

CELL- GUYS (Theyre speaking as one)

All cells undergoe Mitosis thats

cell division by the way. We're all
amazing really.

The Cells divide very suddenly with a popping

noise until the screen is filled with them.
