Locomotive Op eration and Maintenance

Hints on Running

Maintenance of your Model

There are five basic classes of mechanism fitted to

Class I Silver motor R.041, R.156, R.165, R.252, R.255, R.256
Hornby electric locomotives. To identify your model X.03 and R.04't, R.150, R.154, R.156, R.165,
check the Catalogue to establish the "R" number,
Class 2 X.04 motor R.252,R.255, R.759, R.855. R.857
and pick out from the list the appropriate class. Worm drive R.074. R.157, R.159, R.253, R.751, R.763, R.768
Some "R" numbers appear under two classes because Class 3 power boqies
changes are being, or have been made. Removal of
Tvpe 2 R.063. R.065, R.075, R.840

follow the instructions overleaf.
