Can I get a custom version of the Aquarium, with my logo in the backgrou

I. System Requirements
1. Will the Aquarium work with Windows NT? What are the system requirements?
The Aquarium is a DirectX application, so it will not work under Windows
NT 4. It does work under Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 (which is Windows NT 5), and
XP (RC1 and RC2). Also required: A Pentium class processor, DirectX 6, 7, or 8,
and a fairly strong video card with 3D capabilities. We have no current plans fo
r an OpenGL version, but Mac versions may be downloaded now from http://www.sere
nescreen.com/
2. I have a powerful video card, but I'm getting fewer than two frames per secon
d, instead of 20-30.
The most common cause is forgetting to switch the Desktop to High-Color(
16-bit). If you are running the Desktop in True-Color(24 or 32 bit modes), and t
he card does not switch automatically (many do), then the Aquarium will use RGB
Emulation instead of Direct3D HAL. This means that all 3D calculations would be
done in software, which is very slow compared to hardware.
3. Will the Aquarium run on my notebook computer?
Only the very latest notebooks with a GeForce2Go, Rage Mobility or S3 Sa
vage chip will run the Aquarium. The NeoMagic chip will not work.
4. Why doesn't the Aquarium work with my VooDoo2 (or other loop-thru) card?
Right now, the program uses your system's Primary Display driver, and th
e loop-thru card would be a different driver. We will be conferring with Microso
ft about this (and many other points) soon. If your primary display card is powe
rful enough, you can try plugging the monitor directly into it, instead of loopi
ng through the VooDoo card. The upcoming DirectX 8 version should work with this
type of card.
5. Will the Aquarium run on Dual Monitors?
There is not yet any built-in support for dual-monitor setups, though we
have heard of people getting good results with such systems. Only the primary d
isplay driver is currently accessed.
II. Troubleshooting
1. The Aquarium worked the first day, but now I get a "Resolution set too high"
error.
You are using an older version of the Aquarium. Download the latest vers
ion.
2. When my monitor goes into sleep mode, the Aquarium screen is black when it wa
kes up.
This should no longer be a problem with the latest version.
3. The Aquarium freezes and the fish stop moving.
First make sure you have your Desktop color set to 16 bit (high color).
If you can start the program, hit the spacebar and go to the settings sc
reen. In the settings screen de-select the "Desktop resolution" option and choos
e another resolution like 800X600. Also de-select the "Exit on mouse move" if it
is enabled.
Sometimes a program (such as virus protection, automatic utility program
or TSR) will access the system periodically and kick out the program. Try disab
ling these types of programs to see if it makes a difference.
Also, it is important to make sure you have the best driver for your vid
eo card from the manufacturer.
4. The Aquarium works perfectly on my friend's computer, but not mine. Why?
Without knowing the exact specifications of both computers, this is impo
ssible to answer.
