I chose this document as an artifact representing the Essential Employability Skills with

regards to Numeracy. (Ontario, 2017) The assignment was to complete an expense

report based on a business trip scenario. This was assigned by the Finance Course of
my Office Administration Program at Durham College. This document demonstrates an
exemplary level of executing mathematical operations accurately. The scenario
provided account codes and a chart of accounts by which I performed a variety of
mathematical calculations. I effectively analyzed using numerical data, understood, and
applied mathematical concepts and reasoning and calculated the harmonized sales tax.

The calculations were accurately executed using addition, multiplication, and rounding
of numbers, then entered onto an Excel spreadsheet where I used my skills in this
software application to complete a professional business document that I was proud of.
This assignment was one of several of its kind and I feel that I learned a great deal and
would be confident in a workplace setting to perform a task of this kind for any business.
