The gearbox has a wide ratio span and close, well balanced
shifting increments. This offers very high starting traction
while at the same time offering capacity for high average
speeds. The latest generation of Geartronic has been up-
dated, and improved program control offers even better
adapted and smooth gear shifting.
The V2514GT is intended for transport operations with
gross vehicle weights of up to 60 tonnes. The gearbox is
best suited for long-haul transport, as well as for regional
and city distribution on good roads.
The gearbox is divided into a forward basic unit and a rear
range unit. The basic unit is made of cast iron and contains

three basic gears, an integrated split gear, crawler and
reverse gears. The range housing contains a planetary

range gear. The range housing and clutch casing are made
of aluminium, which contributes to giving the gearbox
