downtoatricklewithatherosclerosisspreadingdeeperintomycranium.Myright

virtuallytoldthatitwasonlyamatteroftime.

Istartedthe6gperdayofVit.CandLysine,(withtheotheritems,onJanuary3rd.2004).After
only3daysandonwardsIbelievedthatIwasfeelingsomesmallbenefits,buttoday,12th.
January,Ihavebeenforabriskwalkofapprox.1mile,(inmylunchbreak),withsome
undulation,andhavenotsufferedanyAnginapain.Icouldnothavedonethiswalk,priorto
January3rd.Withoutconsiderableanginabeingnoticed,tothepointwhereIwouldnothave

Someyearsago,IwasgivenanAngioplasty,sinceoneofmyarterieswas75%closed.This
procedure,improvedthestandardofmydailylifeforseveralmonths,untilitwasdiscoveredthat

insertedtoholdthearteryopen.Icontinuedtoenjoylifetothefull,butayearortwolater,my

improvethiscondition,IwentintoJaundice,andwasadmittedtohospitalfortreatmentfortwo

drugsthatIwastakingforhighbloodpressure,wasthecauseofmyjaundice.

Eventually,someyearslater,myirregularheartbeatconditionprogressedtoAtrialFibrillation,
andIwasgivenSotololinthehopethatthiswouldhelpwithmyproblem.Subsequently,I
underwentaCardioversionprocedure.Thisputmyheartbackintosinusrythmforaboutfive
months,whenitbecamenecessaryformetohaveanotherCardioversion.Thisinturnlastedfor
maybetwomonths,whenIwasonceagain,backinAtrialFibrillation.SinceSolotolwasno
longerhelpingme,mydoctordecidedtodiscontinueitsuse,andinstead,prescribed
Amiodarone.Aweeklater,Iunderwentmythirdcardioversion,andthistimeIwasinS.R.forno
morethananhour,beforerevertingonceagaintoAtrialFibrillation.However,withinaweek,I
foundthatalthoughIwasnolongerinFibrillation,myheartbeatwasirregular.Atthistime,I
learnedofthePauling/Raththerapy,andbegantotakearound68gramsofvitaminCand
6gramsofLysinedaily.

Afteraboutsixweeks,Istillhadanirregularheartbeat,andsoIaddedLProlinetomyLysine
intake,andwithinquiteashorttimeperiod,IdiscoveredthatmyheartwasinS.R..Whenit
continuedinthisstateforacoupleofweeks,Idecidedtoattempttoweanmyselfoff
Amiodarone,sinceIwasawareofitsproclivitytocauseseveresideeffects.

Ihadstartedtaking400mgofthisdrugdaily,andoveraperiodofseveralweeks,slowlyreduced
itsintake,untilIwastakingonly50mgeverysecondday.Justoveraweekagonow,Istopped
thisdrugcompletely,andIamstillinS.R.

Iforgottomentionthataftermysecondcardioversion,itwasconsiderednecessaryformeto
haveapacemakerinserted,sincemyheartbeathaddroppedtoaround38bpm.Iamnow

AfewdaysbeforeIwasreexaminedbytheCardiologist,IbegantakingtheAscorsine9.He
foundmeingoodshapeandsaidtoresumerunning,whichIdidlastweek.OnSundaywhile
visitingSanDiegoIwenttothezoobythetramwhichinvolvedalotofwalkingandforthefirst
timesomesteepinclines.Iwaswithawalkingpartnerwhowalkedbriskly,soallinallitwas
