FH CDMA

Coverage/Frequency assignment setup.

Note : in your case, if azimuth spacing = 61
Frequency definition
Interference
Each assigned frequency correspond to the starting point of the sequence.
Exemple: F1=3500, F2=3501, F3=3502, F4=3503, F5=3504, F6=3505, F7=3506, F8=3507
The sequence is F1,F4,F6,F2,F8,F3,F5,F7,F1,F4.
Bandwidth=1000 KHz
We supposed :
The jump of each station to the next frequency is at the same time (station = sector, site =
group of station(s) at the same location).
The interference map will be the same during the entire sequence due to the constant delta
frequency.
In our case:
At Time 0 (starting point):
ST1= 3502 (F3)
ST2= 3504 (F5)
ST3= 3502 (F3)
ST4= 3504 (F5)
ST5= 3505 (F6)
ST6= 3507 (F8)
ST7= 3501 (F2)
ST8= 3507 (F8)
ST9= 3500 (F1) (2nd layer, on ST2)
At Time 1:
ST1= 3504 (F5)
ST2= 3506 (F7)
ST3= 3504 (F5)
ST4= 3506 (F7)
ST5= 3501 (F2)
ST6= 3502 (F3)
ST7= 3503 (F4)
ST8= 3502 (F3)
ST9= 3503 (F4) (2nd layer, on ST2)
.

I have studied the sequence and see a problem with it. See example below of your network
and sequence.

Stations next to one another on the same site or station

Time 0, 1 in the same sector or that can see each other (opposite
St1: f3, f5 sites) must have a 2mhz spacing to implement a 15dbi
C\I rule assignment rule.

St2: f5, f7, f1, f4, f6, f2 Here you can see ST1 at F5 in time slot 1 is not 2 mhz
9 St9: f1, f4, f6, f2, f8, f3 from ST 9 at F4 in same time slot.

Also if you go down the sequence you can see in time

St3: f3, f5 slot 5 that ST2 is at F2 and ST9 at F3. Again not a 2
mhz separation.
To fix this a new sequence can be regenerated and then tested or, recalculate new starting
frequencies and then re test the sequence. The process is similar to the prospective planning
function in ICS telecom. One must first complete coverage to test capacity (connectivity) and
if it does not work recalculate coverage until connectivity is achieved.

The sequence and the start frequencies have to be planned and tested against one another until
a suitable sequence and start frequency table is produced. Below is an example of a test
system in South Africa that was planned by MGW planners. I must point out that their tool
could not produce a successfully hopping set and start frequencies for this project and it was
done by hand. I have an EWF file for the network if you want to see it.

All site with an a in the callsign have two overlapping radio (RPC).

The sequence is
Sequence Frequency (MHz)
F1 1880
F6 1885
F2 1881
F7 1886
F3 1882
F8 1887
F4 1883
F9 1888
F5 1884

Below I have shown the start frequencies of each sectors and the sequence for pass through
the sequence.

I am now working on how this can be done. Do you have suggestions ?
