Methodology
In completing this assessment, the researcher issued questionnaires to Orion Insurance Brokers

Ltd. The questionnaire is a researching strategy that gives options to which respondents select

what applies to them as well as ask for their views on points of a topic.

The research was done on the topic the roles, functions and skills of the Sales Clerk within

Orion Insurance Brokers Ltd. This research is done with the involvement of most of the workers

being females. The researcher gave a letter to the manager of Orion Insurance Brokers Ltd,

seeking permission to conduct research within the organization to which permission was granted.

Observation took place throughout the process of handing out questionnaires, moving around

and during recollection. This was done coherently, which was successful since workers were not

aware of the process they couldnt have acted differently than usual during the process. Graphs

and a table were used to represent the information gathered.

Labour Law- Employees should be treated fairly by employers.


The rules of employment were noticed within the firm and it was seen where the rules

were portrayed by the employer and employees.


Do not participate in strenuous activities such as lifting heavy equipment.
No eating or drinking around the equipment.
No loud/boisterous behavior on the premises.
Limitations, Findings and

Recommendations

Throughout the researching process, it was discovered that as an insurance firm it is only

in operation on week days. This limits individuals to having to assign times out of their

busy working schedule when they decide to visit this firm.

It was found out that workers are expected to report for work within a certain time period

or they would be classified as being late for work. This showed workers having a sense of

urgency to be at work on time. They were also expected to attend to customers upon their

arrival and with upmost respect, which was evidently done by all workers that were

present at the time visits were done. It was also noticed that working areas were expected

to be kept clean and tidy which was done by the workers.
