Our piece, A carbon tax surfaces in the US, mixed up Australia's carbon tax and
the Minerals Resource Rent Tax (MRRT). The carbon tax levies A$23 per tonne
of green house gases emitted by major industrial businesses. The MRRT is a
tax on miner's profits. The post has been corrected. MINING.com regrets the
