DVB PROJECTS: Hardware: STi5512/STi5500/STi5505 Operating system: RTOS STLite/OS20

Description: Development of database engine and the DVB navigation layer. This module
includes parser of DVB tables, flash manager which helps to write into the flash and the navigation
module. This is an FTA+CI project done on STi5512 platform. Development of tuner driver for
DVB-S application. The DVB-S tuner or the satellite tuner is the QPSK front end that provides to be
the front end for the stream input. The tuner has the front end chip, STV0299 from the ST
microelectronics that demodulates the QPSK signal. Development of Interface driver for the front
panel. The front panel display is a 7 segment LED display connected to the host CPU through PIO
lines. Development of user interface for FTA application EXPERIENCE WITH CI AND CAS:
Hardware: STi5512, Conexant's CX22491 Operating system: RTOS STLite/OS20, Nucleus OS
Description: Development of common interface that supports multi CAS systems. The SCM's CI
Pack was used for development of the common interface. I had my experience with physical driver
for the conexant platform and the system testing of the CI stack. The product has to be compliant
with the CI specification, EN50221. Development of VIACCESS 1.1 interface drivers for STi5512.
The VIACCESS driver consist of the library provided by VIACCESS and the abstraction drivers
provided by the STB. My part of implementation is for the PPV and credit updates that provide the
interactivity to the head end. EXPERIENCE WITH DVX: Hardware: STi5505 Operating system:
RTOS STLite/OS20 Description: The DVX is the STB that combines the DVD and DVB with the
application running on a single chip and the user can switch from the remote between the player
mode and the satellite mode. I had been working in many of the developments of the DVX and have
good knowledge and experience with the VCD specification and the player(DVD, VCD, CDDA)
navigation modules. I have good knowledge of various disc formats. I have travelled to customer site
and worked for final product testing debugging and finalisation. Development of frontpanel
interface driver which is a Vaccum Flurocent Display, controlled by the offchip microcontroller.
Development of navigation and drivers for a GCD(Game CD), which uses the front end of the DVX
player to download a game application. The GCD format is similar to the VCD. Development of
interface drivers to control the for 5.1 channel audio DAC. I have experience with the audio decoder
