ABSTRACT

This research was conducted in the Village Of Mantowu, District Pasarwajo,

Buton. Purpose of this research is to determine road geometry from mine F to the
crushing plant at PT. XYZ and compare it to hauling road standard according to
AASHTO. To determine road geometry, first thing to do is measuring the width of
the biggest transport used. Where, biggest transport used is Dump Truck Hino Fm
260 Ti with width of 2.72 m wide. From the results of road geometry
measurement in PT. XYZ obtained, width on straight road for each segment is
4.60 m until 7.20 m, wide on road curve is 6.20 m until 7.10 m, curve radius from
7.80 m until 7.94 m, and 0.15 m until 0.16 m on super elevations, 0.01 m until
7.42 m on elevations, and grade value 0.0045o until. 3.34o. While cross slope is
not found in all segments. Based on AASHTO, those data need correction and
some addition in several geometry parameters. Road width from 4.20 m to 9.52 m
on the straight roads, and 6.21 m to 11.32 m on the curving roads, curve radius of
7.38 m became 8.85 m, super elevations from 0.15 m to 1.25 m, cross slope of
0.19 m, while road grade is already in accordance with AASHTO standards.
