Introduction (3 min.):
Hook/Attention Grabber:
DO: Finish theme questions from last period and review answers.

Transition to Body:
DO: Bring up PowerPoint and ask if students have decided on a writing assignment from the assignment
options. Explain that today we will be going through a bunch of different resources that will help them do
that assignment.

Body (75 min.):

Role of the Director and his personal reasoning behind film making
Film Critiques
Storyboard helps examples

DO: Gauge timeeither have students write about something new they learned that added to their
understanding of the film, or allow the students to begin their writing assignments.

DO: Have students begin their writing assignmentsee assignment handout
