Job Seeker Visa

A Job Seeker Visa can only be issued with a maximum of 6 Months validity and an extension is not
possible. If during this duration you have found an Employment, you can apply for the Employment
Permit or the Blue Card EU directly in Germany. The condition for a Job Seeker Visa would be to
submit a University Degree recognized by Germany and proof that your stay of 6 months is
financially secured.
The recognition of your University Degree can be proven on the ANABIN Website under
http://anabin.kmk.org.
A screenshot of the recognition on ANABIN will have to be submitted along with your Visa
application. Should this not be possible then a recognition process will have to be done at the
Zentralstelle fr auslndisches Bildungswesen (ZAB).

For identification purposes and fingerprints applicants are requested to be personally present at the
German Embassy during Visa submission and submit the following documents:

2 duly completed Residence Permit Form


2 recent biometric Passport-size Fotos (grey/ white background)

in Original with 2 copies:

valid Passport
valid Malaysian Permit (if applicable)
Motivation Letter in German or in English
Proof of your Academic Qualification (Degree, Masters, PhD) as well as the recognition of
your Qualification in Germany
Curriculum Vitae in German or English
Proof of valid Travel, Health and Accident Insurance for the duration of your stay
Proof of means of subsistence : Minimum of 370,-- Euros per month plus accommodation

Visa fee: 60 (payable only in Ringgit and cash)


Processing time: 6-8 weeks

The above list is not comprehensive, additional documents may be required. Incomplete applications cannot be processed
and you may be asked to return at another time.
Applicants may be called in for an Interview.

* Original Malaysian Documents has to be legalized by th Malaysian Foreign Ministry / Wisma Putra and translated into
German
