Summary:

What makes effective teachers effective?

Teacher help students to achieve goal in their lives. Teacher always guide students to

improve from their mistakes. Educational research shows that without a strong and solid

foundation students cannot get success which is effective teacher. In teachers life three things

are very important which helps in students achievements:

1. Instructional planning: good teacher always care for students not only want to keep

classroom silent. Some teacher thinks that they need to keep classroom silent so they walk

around the classroom but teacher need to focus on students cognitive knowledge. Effective

teacher need to provide opportunity to their students where they can perform their ability to in

front of everyone.

2. Instructional delivery: effective teacher need to deliver every knowledge creatively

where students can catch up easily. Teacher need to pre-plan for skills and resources. Sometimes

teacher need to do in classroom activity because students can practice in practically what they

have learned in the classroom.

3. Assessment of/for learning. For students assessment are for learning and to know

students understanding. Where assessment help students to build up their mental preparation.

Effective teacher always care for students learning and their improvement. Effective teacher

always gives them feedback where they can improve in next time. teacher always care for

differentiated students so they provide them for experimental group work and pedagogical

decisions where they can reflect themselves.

Reflection:

Before I thought that to be an effective teacher I need to give assignment where students

can engage with the teacher and the classroom. I thought that, I just need to make lesson plans

before the class and I must walk around the classroom. But after reading this article What

makes effective teachers effective? I realized that anyone can be teacher but it is hard to be

effective teacher. Teacher not only flow the information to the students but also give opportunity

to perform students talent. So, in future I want to be an effective teacher because I want to

discover students ability in front of everyone. To become effective teacher, I need to collaborate

my planning to other teacher where I can get other advice and suggestions. I will also provide

effective activities for my students so they can also learn in practically not only in theoretically.

In learning process, students will have the problems therefore, I will discuss with my other

teachers about it to find out the solutions. Sometimes teacher give assignment to students which

is not related with the lesson but I will try my best to give appropriate assignment where they can

reflect themselves what they have learned in the classroom. Some teacher only focus those

students who are very smart, but I think every student are smart because they all have their

different kinds of ability. Thus, I will focus all kinds of students, specially to those who are slow

learners because they need more guidance and help from the teachers.

I want to be a teacher not only teacher but also effective teacher where I must do caring

about my students, classroom management and knowledge. Where these things help me to be an

effective teacher. Main important thing is dispositions without good disposition I cannot be

teacher. So, that I am also learning in how to be effective teacher effectively.
