Conext Designer:
The Conext Designer is a software application that assists installers in deciding a suitable
sizing configuration of modules for their PV system. The tool supports the Conext family of
inverters, the single MPPT Conext TX inverters, the two-MPPT Conext TL inverters and Conext Core
XC inverters, Conext RL inverters, Conext CL inverters and MPPT chargers.

The tool provides a database of PV panels from which the system designer can choose. The optimal
number of PV modules to be chosen for the system depends on the required power output and the
Inverter selected. The PV module output is influenced by the solar radiation at the PV generator
location, temperature, installation position, panel orientation (Azimuth) and tilt. The tool allows the user
to choose these various parameters of design and select a suitable number of modules and
strings based on the recommendations of the tool.

This provides the facility to create, store and retrieve projects. The tool can generates project reports
that summarize the selections made along with recommendations for the project.

New in this release:

1. Introduction of CL inverters.
2. Altitude / Temperature De-rating and Power factor for Conext Core XC inverters.
3. Array Box design implementation for Conext Core XC inverters.
4. New panel database is introduced.

Limitations:
There are no known issues as of this 2.0 release. The Features that are planned for implementation in
the next release are:
1. Intelligent client feature for automatically detecting availability of upgrades to the application or
Databases.

Getting Started:
This application cannot be installed in Tablets or Phones. This application is installed on Windows and
MACs

Minimum System Requirements:

4GB RAM, 500 MB free harddisk space, monitor minimum 1280X768 or higher width for better results

Operating system:
Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Mac OS X v10.6, Mac OS X v10.7, Mac OS X v10.8

Installation steps (Windows Users):

1. The user should be the administrator of the computer system.
2. Double click on the ConextDesigner 2.0 setup WINDOWS.exe or Right click on the ConextDesigner
2.0 setup WINDOWS.exe and click Run or Run as with proper administrator credentials.
3. Follow the instructions posed by the setup file till you reach the finish screen of the setup.
4. Click the finish button.
5. The desktop icon for Conext Designer is created along with the start menu.
6. The user can double click on the Conext Designer from desktop and launch the application.

Installation steps (MAC Users):

1. The user should be the administrator of the computer system.
2. Download and install the AdobeAIRInstaller for MAC from Adobe website.
3. Install the ConextDesigner 2.0 setup MAC.air on the Mac.
4. Follow the posed instructions.
5. The user can Open the Conext Designer application and launch the application.
