I would like to discuss about National

Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) which
totally aims at supporting the needy people
through training/academic/skill-development
programs.
Brief note about NIOS:
The National Institute of Open Schooling is the
board of education under the Union Government
of India. It was established by the Ministry of
Human Resource Development of the
Government of India to provide education to the
people in remote areas under the motive to
increase literacy and aimed forward for flexible
learning. NIOS is a national board that
administers examinations for Secondary, Senior
Secondary examinations of open schools and
offers Vocational courses to increase literacy,
provide education specially to rural area
students and make them employable. NIOS also
provides formal and regular secondary and
Senior Secondary program equivalent to CBSE.
NIOS certificate is valid in all the universities
but in few cases results are not declared during
admissions for higher education. NIOS board is
recognized by all universities and education
institutions in India. It is the most authentic
open school in the world.

Plan of execution:
Becoming training partner of NIOS
Start vocational training and Skill development
programs PAN India (main office and branch
offices)
2. To work on skill development programs
through PMKVY, PMKK, Udaan and other
educational programs supported by the
Government of India. These programs have a
good visibility and it would be easy to reach
more number of needy people (students,
teachers and job seekers) even in the rural areas
and remote locations.

3. We can also support engineering (UG and PG)

students by providing technical and soft-skills
training programs and to make them employable
through TEQIP programs.
a. TEQIP is Technical Education Quality
Improvement Program. TEQIP program is
funded by the world bank.
b. It aims in providing additional support for
research and development programs, i.e.,
establishing research centers, incubation
centers and in other research activities like
conduction of conferences, journals, additional
training programs, etc..
b. Phase I and Phase II are over and the
Government has started with the phase III.
c. Very less number of technical institutions (less
than 15%) have got the grants either in phase I,
or in phase II or in both the phases.
d. We should handhold the institutions for
applying and in getting the grants; provide
quality training to the students and ensure that
purpose is served
4. I would like to work with your organization for
improving the skill-set of the engineering
students and to make them employable by
providing technical, soft skills and job oriented
training; by providing solutions to previous year
question papers, providing best in class video
lectures in the niche areas of Science and
Technology.
a. Plan is to provide additional support to
engineering students in terms of providing
solutions to previous year question papers along
with the necessary explanation (interfacing
image, gif, voice and text) on android platform.
Till date, solutions are available only in the hard
copy quality is very less and the available
solutions are not as per the scheme of
evaluation.
b. Very importantly, solutions are not available in
other areas except few cities like Mysuru,
Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Belagavi and few other
cities.
c. In the second phase, program has to be
extended and video lectures should be provided
in the niche areas of Science and Technology
d. Along with the technical lectures, our
program should be like a finishing school to the
students, aiming at making the student
employable by providing training programs in
aptitude, reasoning, communication and other
soft-skills.
e. Through this program, we should aim at
reaching out to more than 50000 VTU students
f. We will also be cater to students of non-
technical universities
g. The program can be easily expanded to the
students of all the universities PAN India.

5. Automation of all the activities in Schools and

Colleges
a. Various state governments are calling RFPs to
automate all the activities in schools and
colleges (RFP called by the Govt of Assam)
b. Automation is just the first step, further this
can be extended to provide internet based
training to the students.
