Based on the hypothesis, it is assumed that the plants rich in alkaloids are bitter compared with

the less content of alkaloids. The method used is photochemical screening method by collecting

different types of plants, and then drying the sample, followed by simple extraction with the

addition of ammoniacal chloroform. Solvent extraction method is used by using the highest

content alkaloid substance which is pulverized to fine powder and added in polar organic solvent

which is kept stopper for a minimum 3 days. It is filtered and allowed to evaporate followed by

the weighing step. Hence, acid-base extraction is carried out by aqueous extraction, then de-fat,

basification and evaporation. By this we conclude theres different level of alkaloid content in

various types of plants. Hence, pursuing in this experiment, plant has most alkaloid content.
