As the class begin Ms. Wickline passed out an assignment that the students would be working on
independently.

As the students worked on the assignment, Ms. Wickline checked homework from the night before.

The students were given a worksheet to complete the following:

What important event happened on October 1765? The Stamp Act. Representatives from 9 colonies met
in NYC. The ask congress to repeal the stamp act.

What important event happened on March 1770? The Boston Massacre. Colonist in Boston argue with a
British soldier, shots were fired, killing five people.

What important event happened on December 1773? The Boston Tea Party. The sons of liberty members
threw boxes of British tea into the harbor. The tea was from the East India Company.

What important event happened on September 1774? First Continental Congress. Representatives from
12 of the 13 colonies met in Philadelphia to discuss issues in Boston.

What important event happened on March 1775? Patrick Henry speech. people to prepare for war with
Britain.

What important event happened on April 1775? Paul Reveres Ride. He warned men that the British were
coming.

The students participated in a Jeopardy game. Vocabulary, People, Acts, Battles, Hodge Podge

Great activity, instant assessment. The students really got involved.

The students had to write the answer in the form of a question.

Very engaging lesson.
