MCCC WINTER 2016 REGISTRATION IS UNDERWAY


Payment deadline for Advanced Registration is Wednesday, November 18
Winter semester classes begin Friday, January 8

MONROE, Mich. winter 2016 open registration has begun at Monroe County community

Collegemain campus located at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. The Whitman Center, for southern Monroe

County residents, is located on 7777 Lewis Ave. in Temperance, MI.

Students can register and apply online using Webpal at www.monroeccc.edu. Students who wish

to register in person can visit the Admissions Office in the A Building on the MCCC Main Campus

(734-384-4104) or the Whitman Center (734-847-0559).

Payment is due November 18 for students who register in advance. Classes registered for on or

after this date are due the day of registration. Payments can be made online, by financial aid, by credit

card, by mail, or in person. There is a $35 registration fee per semester. For Monroe County residents,

tuition is $122 per billable contact hour. For out-of county residents, each contact hour is $197. For out

of state or international students, it is $217 per billable contact hour.

Students who are new to the college must either submit ACT scores or take the Compass

Placement Test. Compass is an untimed, computerized assessment test that helps to evaluate your skills

in reading, writing and math and is used by MCCCs counselors to assist in course selection. The
Compass test is offered in the West Tech Building of the main campus. Call 734-384-4255 for a

schedule of testing times. The test is also offered in the Business Learning Lab of Whitman Center. Call

734-847-0559 for a schedule of testing times. Students can also provide proof of 12 or more transferable

credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university.

Students should apply for financial aid as early as possible. They can apply online at

http://www.fafsa.gov. There are a wide variety of resources available, including grants, work study,

payment plans, and loans. Students can also visit the Financial Aid Office in the Administration

Building, room 159 on the MCCC Main Campus, or in the Whitman Center for more information. There

are also a large variety of scholarship opportunities for students. A list of these scholarships can be found

in the MCCC catalog, in the Financial Aid Office, or by looking online at
