PROGRESS REPORT

For the hardware of the project, the proponents experimented the lighting angle and the distance of the
tongue from the camera for the image acquisition process of the project. They have tried three trials with
different tongue distance, luminance of light and position of the light. For the software, they have run the
image segmentation on the raspberry pi using the image captured using the pi camera. The speed of the
process, image segmentation that was executed using Window OS is the same as when it was run using the
Linux OS of raspberry pi.

The proponents plan to move the other developed programs in the raspberry pi and continue the crack
segmentation program.
