Sitecore serialize items

The 'Serialize' option will serializes only the selected item.

Sitecore serialize tree

'Serialize tree' option will serialize the selected item and its sub
items.

Sitecore update tree

Update the items and sub items from the file system.

Sitecore Revert tree

 Revert the items and sub items from the file system.

Update Database

Update the database from the file system and it will not remove local
modification.

Revert Database

Revert the database from the file system.

Update Item

Update item from file system

Revert Item

Revert item from file system.

Re-Build Index

Re build the selected index.

Re-Build All
 This option will rebuild all indexes which present.

Re-Index tree

Re build the index for particular item and its descendants.

Copy an item

Copies the selected item and all its content and sub items to a
location in the content tree that you specify.

Duplicate an item

Copies the selected item and all its content and sub items to the
same location in the content tree.

Clone

1. The original item and cloned item has a relationship as

Parent-Child, which means the cloned items fields will
inherit the changes from the original item if the field value
same as the original item. For example if the title field on
the original item (About Us) changed from About Us to
About Company, then the title field on all cloned items
from the About Us original item will be changed to About
Company automatically.
2. The change notification might be displayed on the cloned
items when the field value in the original item has been
changed.
