HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus. If left untreated, HIV


can lead to the disease AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).
HIV attacks the bodys immune system, specifically the CD4 cells (T
cells), which help the immune system fight off infections. If left
untreated, HIV reduces the number of CD4 cells (T cells) in the body,
making the person more likely to get infections or infection-related

lower their chance of transmitting the virus to others. Today, a person who
is diagnosed with HIV, treated before the disease is far advanced, and stays
on treatment can live a nearly as long as someone who does not have HIV.

____Viruss being not alive they can only reproduce through a host. And can only be
destroyed by vaccines or the immune system, but somethings are not curable like
HIV/AIDS. They attacks the bodys immune system leaving it open to many diseases
and other sicknesses. Most symptoms seem like flu like symptoms like fevers but
will continue to worsen, until they become AIDS. Then the symptoms are much
more severe like blotches and memory lost. This disease is a very serious disease
and can cause many deaths. Since there is no cure it is very important to take the
medicine and do not spread it. It can be spread through blood and sexual activities.
Therefore, Viruses can be extremely deadly if not properly taken care of.
