Title: Wild Animal Review & Zoo Creation Lesson #: 3
Lesson Objective/Rationale (What is the point of the lesson? What should leaners be able to
do at the end of the lesson?)
Students will continue to develop their understanding of the names of animals in French by
repeating the words orally and writing the English names beside the French names. Students
will be completing a summative assessment project to create a zoo with the French names of
animals they learned so far. By the end of the lesson students should have a solid recognition
of the French animal names.
Outcomes (What are learners expected to know? Refer to the provincial Program of Studies)
General Outcome: Students will use their knowledge of French to understand and/or to express a
message effectively in various situations for a variety of purposes.
Oral Production
express simple oral messages by using gestures, one word utterances, memorized global
expressions or simple, concrete sentences based on available models
