REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2009-341


AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING A NEW SCHEME FOR THE
DISTRIBUTION OF PUBLIC UTILITY JEEPNEY PASSES FOR
PROVINCIAL PUJ'S ENTERING THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF
ILOILO CITY

for in Regulation Ordinance 20 ~68, as amended, entitles municipality PUJ's beyond the first
towns (Oton, Leganes, San Miguel, and Pavia) to four (4) PUJ passes per existing SEC -
registered association regardless of membership, is disproportionate and does not follow equity
in distribution.

NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained, as it is hereby ordained by the Sangguniang


Panlungsod of the City of Iloilo in a session assembled;

Section I. For PUJ's whose point of origin are the municipalities of Oton, Leganes,
Pavia and San Miguel respectively, they shall be provided with PUJ passes equivalent to thirty
(30) percent of the total number of active membership per existing SEC-registered association.

f Section 2. For PUJ's whose point of origin are the municipalities of Tigbauan,
ga, Alimodian, and Sta. Barbara respectively.

A. For every existing SEC-registered PUJ association whose active


membership are thirty (30) members or less (as evidence by their recent
LTO registration, Certificate of Ownership and Certificate of Public
Conveyance), such association shall still be entitled to four (4) PUJ
passes per association.

B. For similar associations whose active membership is thirty-one (31) or


more (as evidence by their recent LTO registration, Certificate of
Ownership and Certificate of Public Conveyance), such association shall
be provided with PUJ passes equivalent to fifteen (15) percent of its total
active membership.

Section 3. For PUJ's whose point of origin is beyond the municipalities mentioned
under Section 2 of this Ordinance, and are presently issued PUJ passes.

A. For every existing SEC-registered PUJ association whose active


membership are forty (40) members or less (as evidence by their recent
LTO registration, Certificate of Ownership and Certificate of Public
Conveyance), such association shall still be entitled to four (4) PUJ
passes per association.

B. For similar associations whose active membership is forty-one (41) or


more (as evidence by their recent LTO registration, Certificate of
Ownership and Certificate of Public Conveyance), such association shall
be provided with PUJ passes equivalent to ten (10) percent of its total
active membership.

f Section 4. This Ordinance shall amend provisions of Regulation Ordinance 2004-


i68, as amended, relative to the distribution of PUJ passes for municipa!Wes herein mentioned.

Section 5. All other provisions of Regulation Ordinance 2do4~68, as amended, are


still in force and effect.

Section 6. Separability Clause: If any portion of this ordinance or the application


thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of this ordinance and the
application of such provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

Section 7. Effectivity Clause: This ordinance shall take effect upon approval and
publication.
