Who
When SSP Food Travel Experts -and more specifically- SSP Eastern Europe &
Middle East, assigned A&M Architects the creation of a new F&B concept allowing
the free movement of customers between various international cuisine options
(Free Flow), nobody expected to see such a successful restaurant with a great
variety of food and beverage options.

What
With experience in the design and implementation of similar food concepts, A&M
Architects undertook the creation of the new Food Village identity with its side
applications. Naturally, we adapted these elements to the local requirements of
each country. Hence, starting with the new Athens Airport and with minor
adjustments to the airports in Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Budapest, Moscow, Cyprus and
elsewhere, we managed to create an extremely successful multinational
restaurant model. The restaurants have a common seating area as well as food
preparation areas. Each restaurant has a food display used also for customer
service.

Where
The Food Village restaurants are located at the airports of Athens, Cyprus
Larnaca and Pafos Egypt Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Budapest and Moscow. The
concept, designed by the experienced partners of A&M, includes several separate
restaurants of various ethnic cuisines in a single space, where customers are able
to walk freely and choose among various international dishes.

When
The original Food Village was designed in 2001 to mark the opening of the new
Airport El. Venizelos in Athens. Since then, A&M Architects designed and
adapted the original Food Village concept in many other airports across the
world.
Who
This international fast food company started out in 1953 in Florida, USA and today
owns more than 1200 restaurants worldwide, employing more than 40,000
people. With a main menu that features the famous Whopper Hamburger among
other fast food choices, BURGER KING has managed to acquire a large market
share in the fast food market worldwide.

What
A&M, based on the rand design manual, laid out designs in accordance to the
required specifications provided by BURGER KING and successfully coordinated
the construction of BK restaurants in various international airports. From the
kitchen and service counters to the design of sitting areas, A&M and EUROFAST
coordinated designs and work tasks to deliver these units to BKs international
clients.

Where
The implementation of BURGER KINGs corporate identity and detailed designs by
A&M in many international airports (Larnaca in Cyprus, Cairo in Egypt, Hurganda
in Abu Dhabi - UAE and in Budapest, Hungary) constitutes a recognizable food
destination for passengers and visitors, within the commercial spaces of these
International Airports.

When
The collaboration of the world renowned BK company with SSP Food Travel
Experts established in 2005 its presence in the market of airports worldwide.
Since then, the appearance of a name such as BURGER KING in the materialization
of various restaurant solutions within an airport constitutes a key advantage as
far as the design of catering facilities is concerned. EUROFAST creates a new
BURGER KING in each new airport, the latest one being in Budapest.
Who
One of the most popular caf concepts of SSP Food Travel Experts, Caffe Ritazza,
is one of the fastest growing cafs in commercial airport sites worldwide. With a
wide variety of coffee beans from Central and South America, it serves passengers
and passers-by daily, offering coffee, soft drinks and fresh sandwiches to
passengers.

What
SSP Food Travel Experts assigned the design and implementation of the Caffe
Ritazza stores to A&M and EUROFAST for a series of airports around the world.
Based on an initial design by the UK firm Mcandrew + Watts, A&M Architects
completed the carried out the implementation designs and co-ordinated all
construction works in order to meet the high standards of Caff Ritazza stores.

Where
A&M undertook the design of the Caff Ritazza stores in Athens, Larnaca, Paphos,
Budapest, Hurghada in Egypt and Abu Dhabi in UAE. The project implementation
was based on the SSP Design Manual and all Caffe Ritazza stores were delivered
to their managers according to specifications.

When
The first Ritazza cafs were designed in 2004 for the Athens International Airport
() as two model coffee shops. In 2006, the old Cyprus airports came to house
two new Ritazza cafs. In 2007, the Budapest Airport hosted its own Ritazza,
while in 2008, two new stores opened in Athens and the new Paphos airport. In
2009, the new Larnaca airport placed Caffe Ritazza at the most central spot of its
commercial hub. Next year, two new Ritazza units will open in Abu Dhabi in the
UAE, and in Hurghada in Egypt, confirming the fast growth rate of this particular
coffee concept.
Who
SSP Food Travel Experts -SSP Eastern Europe & Middle East in particular- decided
to create a new food concept based on the classic American diner idea, covering a
space of approximately 800 square meters at the Larnaca airport in Cyprus. The
project was assigned to A&M Architects, aiming to serve the passengers and
visitors of the Larnaca airport on a 24- hour basis.

What
The vast experience of EUROFAST in the catering and hospitality sector, as well as
its profound knowledge in creating successful food concepts, culminated in a
project like the DinerOnAir, which covers an approximately 800 m2 space, serving
290 visitors. This project involves the design of a unique and modern space, based
on the American diner model, offering a food experience at a very special place
with remarkable view. A&M undertook all design concepts, managed and
coordinated construction works and delivered the new concept to CY.

Where
At the new Larnaca Airport, which has been awarded for its organization and
design as Best F&B Airport for 2010, DinerOnAir is one of the most sought after
food destinations. At the departures check-in area, DinerOnAir caters for
passengers on a 24/7 basis, offering a unique view of the runway as well as an
extensive menu.

When
Planning for the new DinerOnAir concept began in January 2009. Approval by SSP
came in May of the same year and the store itself opened in November 2009, at
the official launch of the international airport. EUROFAST has added yet another
successful food concept to its portfolio and CY F&B -the managers- added an
additional catering attraction to the premises of the Larnaca Airport.

consumed worldwide on a daily basis! Segafredo Zanetti is, to many people,
synonymous with espresso coffee globally. With 70,000 customers all over the
world, Segafredo is the leader in coffee sales in Italy, focusing primarily on the
quality of coffee. Furthermore, it is one of the few companies which oversee all
stages of coffee production.

A&M, based on the strong Brand design manual of the Segafredo company,
undertook the implementation of its stores corporate identity at the airports of
Abu Dhabi and Larnaca, ensuring that even the slightest detail was taken care of.
The stores in both airports number approximately 80 customer seats and cover an
area of 100 square meters.

Where
SSP Travel Food Services, in collaboration with Segafredo, have formed a strong
partnership in many airports around the world. This is the case at the new
Larnaca airport, as well as the departures terminal of the Abu Dhabi Airport.

The design of the store commenced in January 2009, construction works started
in August and the store opening coincided with the opening of the airport in
November 2009.

combining products which meet the needs for quick service in the F&B market.
Panopolis Inspired Sandwiches is one of them.

What
A&M followed the Design Manual produced by the UK agency The One Off,
which studied the Panopolis Inspired Sandwiches model. Our company met the
standards set by Panopolis in designing and co-ordinating the construction
process at the international airports of Larnaca, Abu Dhabi and Budapest. The
whole project was a great success; From the lay-out of kitchens and service
counters to designing the seating areas, A&M co-ordinated the whole process and
delivered these units to the airports international passengers.

Where
With outlets at the airports of Abu Dhabi, Larnaca and -since June 2011- at the
new Budapest airport, Panopolis Inspired Sandwiches has arrived to satisfy
passengers who demand high quality services. Whether in arrivals or departures,
Panopolis, with capacity of approximately 130 seated customers, wins the
passengers with its variety and quality of products and sets new standards in
presentation and service as far as competitive services are concerned.

When
Having successfully implemented the model at a railway station in London, A&M
undertook the design and EUROFAST undertook the co-ordination of the
construction of two new Panopolis outlets: The first one, in early 2009, at the
ETIHAD airport in Abu Dhabi and the second one, in late 2009, at the new Larnaca
airport.
Who
Flocaf is currently the largest chain of cafs in Greece. With great tradition in
coffee, which carries the registered Flokas brand, the chain was acquired by the
Delta dairy company. Currently, Flocaf belongs to the Services of Catering &
Entertainment sector of Vivartia. Vivartia is a dynamic and innovative company,
a flagship in the Greek food sector, as well as internationally. Its trade-marks are
recognizable by millions and its products have an impact on market development.

What
A&M undertook the implementation of the Flocafe corporate identity in three
cities and two airports. These include the Budapest Airport in Hungary and the
Larnaca Airport in Cyprus as well as a caf in the Galatsi region of Athens, which
was created several years earlier. A&Ms responsibilities included planning and
detailed design. EUROFAST undertook the management of these projects. The
earth tones encountered in Flocafe stores, combined with the unobstructed light
provided by the glass front, make Flocafe a favorite spot for travelers and visitors
of these international airports.

Where
The new Larnaca airport was inaugurated on November 7, 2009. A year earlier,
the Flocafe at the departures area in Terminal 2 of the Budapest airport, opened
its doors to international passengers in Hungary. The Flocafe stores are located in
the arrivals area in Larnaca, offering an outdoor smoking area. As for Budapest,
the Flocafe is located at the departures area in 2 of the airport. Both stores are
open to the public 24 hours a day.

When
We designed the first caf in Galatsi in 2000. Both designs for the airports started
in 2008 and were completed in May 2009. A few months later, both cafs were
delivered, ready to service visitors and passengers in both international airports.
Who
At the new Paphos Airport, SSP Food Travel Experts has the operational oversight
and management of all food and coffee services. Mosaic caf, which is located in
the most central spot of the airport, was created by EUROFAST as a new concept
on behalf of Cyprus Airports F&B Co, to reinforce the Sense of Place design
philosophy of the building.

What
This is a new store concept. The 330 m2 space consists of 260 seats at the core of
the Airports commercial activity. A&M undertook the overall design of this
central departures area as well as the creation of its corporate identity. The A&M
Graphics team was responsible for the stores visual communication and created
original graphics, linking the regions history with the airport.

Where
In the main area of departures at the International Paphos Airport, MOSAIC CAF
is dominant among the airports other commercial areas. Overlooking the DUTY
FREE stores and other catering outlets, it offers relaxation and allows tourists to
enjoy its products just before they board the airplanes.

When
The specific design of this central area took place in early 2008 and operation
began in November of the same year at the airports opening. By utilizing the
historic mosaics of the Paphos region and the Goddess of Beauty, Aphrodite, this
central spot constitutes an important landmark and a special location at the
departures area of the Paphos Airport.
