I am privileged to write this letter of recommendation in support for my student, Florencia Sabao-Schneider. I
have had the privilege of having Florencia as a student this year in my Advanced Placement English Literature
and Composition class at Merced High School. I have witnessed her tremendous growth and development,
academically and personally. It is with much pleasure and sincerity that I write this letter on her behalf.

Florencia has proven to be an extraordinary young woman. She is enthusiastic, respectful, and always willing to
help others. Academically, she has excelled in all of her classes. Her current grade point average is an impressive
4.5. She is a dedicated student and an independent worker. Yet, she is very outgoing and interacts with other
students in a positive manner. She does her best at any task put before her. In addition to her excellent academic
achievement, Florencia has been actively involved in extra-curricular activities on campus. She has been a
valuable member of our Merced Marching 100 band and percussion, as well as a vocalist with our schools jazz
ensemble. In addition, she currently serves as the bands president, is a member of Pacific Club, and has served
as an Academic mentor during her sophomore and junior years at Merced High.

Florencias hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed. She has received some well-deserved awards and
honors as well. She has received the Outstanding Soloist award at the Reno Jazz Festival, as well as the Senate
Certificate of Recognition and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition. Florencia was also honored by
being chosen to attend Camp RYLA and Girls State last year. In addition to her academic success, Florencia has
devoted her time and attention to our community. She has earned over 200 community service hours by
volunteering during the summer. Florencias academic achievement, work ethic, and strong personal qualities
undoubtedly account for her continued success.

I recommend Florencia with absolute confidence. As a teacher, it is my job to not only teach the curriculum, but
to also try and teach our youth how to be productive citizens. Florencia knows the importance of education and
the reward of strong personal character. Her desire and potential to succeed is inspiring. Florenica has set goals to
attend some very prestigious schools, major in Neuroscience/Biology with a minor in Psychology, and eventually
attend medical school. I have absolutely no doubt that Florencia will continue to rise to any challenge that she
faces in college and beyond. Overall, her excellent qualities will remain with her and continue to make her
successful in all of her future endeavors. It has sincerely been a pleasure for me to know Florencia and be her
teacher. I highly and enthusiastically recommend her.
