1. Getting-to-know-you (GTKY) Activity: People Poem

Instructions: Have each student use the letters in his or her name or nick name to create

an acrostic poem. For example, Marvin could write

M- Mischievous A-Adventuresome R- Rebellious V- Visionary I In love (I dont any

other word to describe myself)

N- Naughty = (MARVIN)

Each student must include words that tell something about themselves -- for example,

something they like to do or a personality or physical trait. Invite students to share their poems

with the class. This activity is a fun one that enables you to learn how your students view

themselves.

2. Assignment: Role Play

Instructions: The class will form into 3 groups with equal members. Each group

participant will play a scenario regarding a learning theory. As a team, the team leader

will choose a case scenario to role play. They will have 5-8 minutes to role play. At the

end of each round, the members of other group will provide some learning feedback to

the application of learning theory before moving onto the group. After all the

presentation, the instructor will supplement some learnings and summarization of the

activity.
