Attend mathematics classes and assist the teacher with any students that need extra help. Help the teacher
monitor the students and make sure they are taking notes, doing their given assignment, and/or staying on
task.
Prepare the daily tutoring list, which consists of students who have missing assignments or need extra help
with an assignment on Mondays through Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. On Fridays there is Friday
School up until 6 p.m. and consists of students who did not attend mandatory tutoring.
Arrange the lunch detention list with the names of students that cannot attend after school tutoring, have
been tardy an excessive amount of times, or have received a lunch detention slip by administration.

Attended Educating the Educators or How Much Do Our Nations Teachers Really Know About World
Culture? workshop. This workshop was about the diversity of students in a classroom as well as how to
relate and teach each one of them.
Attended The New Diversity workshop with speaker Matt De La Pena. This workshop was about how the
author got inspired to read by a teacher. He also talked about teachers and their influence on students and
how much of a difference an educator can make.

This non-profit organization provides free books to low-income families. Helped receive the books that are
donated to the organization and made sure all the books were in good condition for anyone interested. Also,

Dancing Spirit, Ysleta High School, El Paso, TX

Assist the coach by helping the dancers stay academically driven. Tutor the dancers in any Math assignment
they need help on and if failing they go to the tutoring center to catch up.
